Hi Ladies!! Thanks for the thoughts!!! No, you didn't miss a post - I haven't chatted much about it here. Sometimes I almost feel a bit like I will jinx it

I had 3 embies transferred in and will have the blood work results on Saturday. I am completely terrified. I don't feel cramping; I don't feel much....which scares me. But oh well - I will deal with it when I get the results.

I will keep you guys posted!!! Again - thank you!!! I have been a bit absent here lately but am trying to get back in the groove!!!

OMG!!!! THANK YOU! I have had that stinking song in my head and ALL I remember is that "fin-al count-downnnnnn". You are my hero - I am going to Itunes and try to listen to it so I can at least have another section going through!

Thanks! Hey - herpersmama - are you celiac? I thought I saw something in a post one time....I am celiac and wanted to know what your pregnancy has been like regarding that....

I am starting to go slowly insane waiting for Saturday. I will keep you all posted!

Were you able to find it on ITunes? Funnily enough, I had that tape back in the mid-80's and I LOVED that song.

Yes, I have celiac. I'm not as extreme as some others, and I'm usually pretty good just managing my diet. When things were really bad I went 100% gluten free, after improving I added back a small amount of gluten to my diet. Umm, tmi here, but bad bouts for me consist of constant runs; and when I go 100% GF I end up more on the constipated side. Sooo, if I include a little gluten in my diet, I stay fairly regular which is my goal. I did, and still do occasionally, have extremely bad bouts of intestinal cramps; so I take an anti-spasmodic called Hyoscyamine. It's like a glycerin tablet almost, it melts under my tongue and the cramps disappear. I haven't taken that since getting pregnant (except for 2 instances), and I only took it in emergencies before anyway. I am currently having digestive/intestinal issues which I believe are semi-pregnancy related. I am going back and forth from extreme bloat and constipation to extreme cramping and diahrea. I'm yo-yoing, and it's not cool. I have spoken w/ my Perinatologist, and he is not concerned that this is affecting my Little Miss. The cramping is gastro-intestinal and should not affect the uterus he says; although it appears to be causing some irritation as I am having intermittent bouts of period like cramping. Not uterine contractions though, and they are not affecting my cervix at this time. Soooo, they are just being monitored. Also, he is researching my anti-spasmodic drug to see if I can start taking this when I have a bout of intestinal cramps starting to see if it also cuts back on the irritation and other cramps. So that's the scoop so far. Also, since becoming pregnant though, I haven't been paying any attention to being gluten free. That's the stuff I crave of course, so I guess I'm suffering for it. It would suck soooo bad trying to be 100% gluten free while pg, I can't even begin to fathom it!

So that's the scoop. Sorry this got so long!!

Hey - thanks for the reply. While I can cheat a little bit (like creamy soups or stir fry with flour in the mix), I can't go very far without some gastrointestinal issues and I get a rash on my cheeks (face cheeks!). I wasn't diagnosed until 2 years ago....after I lost my 2nd baby, my dr said that undiagosed celiacs can have a higher chance for miscarriage. But I don't know if that was just him trying to find *some* reason for it. My niece, father and 2 brothers are celiac as well. My poor niece was diagnosed at 3 and she is VERY sensitive to it. She gets sick off of something in gummy bears...so she has a tough road ahead. Can you imagine never knowing the joy of a twinkie? That is true horror.

Luckily, my mom is a baker so makes some excellent fake bread/cakes/rolls.

Yours sounds fairly miserable lately! But at least it isn't affecting the sweet baby girl (Isabella? I thought you had a few favs you posted about). I hope you can take that drug to stop the spasms! Those sound just horrid.

Eh, could be worse, I could get a rash too. j/k!! My only real problem w/ eating gluten is it gets to the point where I don't absorb anything at all, all food just runs right thru me. Pretty graffic that, but I could be worse, it could make me deathly ill, or rashes like you, or a ton of other icky things. I can at least eat it, I just have to watch the amount I allow myself; and when I start to have problems they are almost immediately improved by going GF for a time. I was diagnosed in 2005.

Yeah, it's not a cake walk lately, but I'll live.

Your mom is a baker!?!? Wow, I bet that sucked for everyone to go from having yummy baked goods to no flours at all!! I bet she came up with some pretty good substitutes quickly though! I wish I knew how to do that stuff!
