Well keep in mind my b-day is our 2 year anniversary, but we don't really celebrate that, I don't know why...

Anyhow, I'm thinking since it's my Golden Birthday! I'd get something nice cuz for Christmas I got the journey pendant, the nice one with the extra diamonds...so I open the bag and what is it????

A CUBS T-SHIRT and a box of Junior Mints---------NO I'm not kidding

The shirt is blue, I hate wearing blue, it's a medium, I'm a small, and I'm a BREWERS fan. I mentioned last week when we were at the Cubs game that I'd like a Cubs tshirt for when I go to the games so I fit in with the crowd, but I figured I'd find one at Target or Kohl's on sale later.....

So yeah, that's fabulous. We're going out to dinner Monday or Tuesday b/c he had a crazy week with work and stuff so I'm really really hoping he got me earrings or something and he'll surprise me at dinner but I honestly don't think he has anything else for me. He got me flowers and a bunch of stuff last year that was so thoughtful.

I just don't get it. I don't want to sound greedy but he can CERTAINLY afford something nice and jeez louise we've been through so much together. Ok enough pity party for me.

I'm sorry Erika. Maybe he's planning something else for you?

I used to literally go to the store and have the clerk write down the SKU's of what I wanted on her business card to give to DH.

Sorry Erika -

It does sound like he was at least paying attention to somehting you were wanting, but men can be so clueless around b-day and anniversaries. Your gift is probably something he would have liked to get for his own b-day.

I say, go out and buy something nice for yourself, or do something nice for yourself!! You deserve it!

It sounds like you should go out and buy yourself something you would like! Sorry about the disappointing gift.

I think he meant well , I bet he had no clue what to get you and then you said that you wanted a shirt for the games. He probably thought to himself that he could not go wrong. It would be been nice if he hid something inside the shirt.

I do agree with the girls and go do something nice for youself
