I've never heard of that breed, but what cuties.
I had a really, really hard time around Marina's due date, and did buy a puppy. It was honestly one of the best decisions. My Molly has been such a great companion, and such a great addition to our home. I think I love her as much as I love DD! It definitely has helped me through the healing process, it's someone to nurture and love and take care of. Now she'll continue to bring me joy, and hopefully will be around when I finally do get a BFP, and my future DC will have a dog to grow up with.
This is my Molly Moo, she will be 7 months old on the 15th, she's a mini dachshund, piebald color. Don't mind the naked barbie, LOL.
I think if you think it will help, and you also really do want a dog, then it can be a wonderful thing. Plus, puppies are so much work, you'll be obsessing less about TTC.....the potty training stuff keeps you busy!!

I vote good idea if everyone is ready to take care of it. I read that breed can be difficult to obedience train, so it's something to keep in mind. I don't think it's unhealthy at all.

I think it's a wonderful idea! Getting a puppy will NEVER take away or replace your feelings for your lost babies, don't think that! The puppy will help you heal, I believe in that 100%! Whenever you feel down and nobody else is around, that little dog will be at your feet, looking up at you with his head cocked with a toy in his mouth.
Like I said, I think it's a wonderful idea, Katt!

I think it's a great idea Katt. I love the little guys in the pic. They are so cute. I have 2 big dogs and a cat. Whew! They are great companions though. Tommy will love it.

I agree that it is a great idea! Especially if it is something that your family has been talking about for awhile. Puppies can be so loveable and scuh great additions to a family. I'm sure it will be good for all of you.

Well, I don't enjoy being the only one responsible for our pets, so I wouldn't want a puppy because of all the hard work (I'm one of those "CAT PEOPLE"). But, I am trying to look at it from a new pet perspective instead of a dog and I think it is a good idea. My cats were very comforting after my miscarriage. It was like they knew that I needed special attention and they would curl up in my arms and just purr for hours. It was very theraputic for me.
Plus, sometimes a little distraction can be so helpful when you are going through a loss and a puppy will definitely be distracting!
Good luck!

After I lost Kai we got a kitten, it wasnt to "replace" him. She was a nice distraction and still is. She is a little nutty. I say go for it~ esp. if you have thought about it already!

We bought our puppy the day after we lost our son. We'd wanted one for a long time and had arranged to buy one in Oct (this was in August) but after we lost our son we just needed Something to look forward to, something to make us smile, right then. You know? So we got our little Yellow Lab "Crash" and we have no regrets He really helped make us smile and take our minds off of things - puppies are a great distraction .

I think it's a great idea! Dogs can be very comforting. You have a pet that is always ready for a cuddle if you need it.

I think it's a great idea. I got a puppy and I love her sooo much. She lays in my lap and lets me rub her belly and she is just soooo playful. No she's not a baby but it gave me something to keep occupied and the kids love her. Her name is Sadie. I hope that ya'll enjoy having a puppy. I'm sure Tommy will really really enjoy it. Let us know and be sure to post pics if ya'll decide to get one.
Here is Sadie!!!! She is 9 weeks old.

I think you should get the puppy, it can help maybe take your mind of things a few times a day.

I think its a fantastic idea, especially if you had spoken about it in the past.
Pets become such an amazing part of your family and they really uplift you...I think you'd be making a great decision.
Post lots of pics of your new addition.
