I wasn't exactly sure where to join. My husband and I are starting to TTC our first child after a previous miscarriage. We are also using Clomid because I have PCOS. I guess I could fit in 3 different forums but this one seemed the most appropriate.
I had a miscarriage in mid-July and had to have a d&c. I still haven't started my period so I am starting Provera tomorrow to kick start it. I had an u/s to make sure everything was a-okay. My doctor feels that since I don't ovulate that is why my period hasn't started. Hopefully Provera works without too many side effects. My doctor also gave me a prescription for Clomid. I got pregnant on it last time during the second round. I hope it works that quickly again and sticks this time. He told me I could start Clomid on the third day of my period. I initially thought he would make me wait a cycle but he said he wasn't concerned.
Even though I *thought* I had prepared myself for the worst case scenario (m/c) before. I had no idea how deeply it would impact me. I'm finally feeling ready to try again after a few months of sorrow. It's so strange to rationally understand something but still be an emotional mess.
Any advice on what to expect with Provera would be appreciated.
Good luck to everyone else in our position.

I'm glad your doc is on the same page as you are, in wanting you to begin trying soon. I hope the Provera does what it's suppose to and you get your sticky bean!!

Thank you all for the welcome. I started my first day of Provera. I haven't really noticed any side effects. Once my period starts I will get to start Clomid on Day 3.
