Merlin.....has tapeworms! It is disgusting! im kinda regretting buying him right now I know its not his fault, and he is adorable otherwise...but the worm thing is just retchid The vet gave me some dewormer which i used today and i know have poos filled with tapeworm all over the yard.....i am not cleaning it up no friggin way!! DH can do it


I feel so spoilt i wanted a puppy and now with the first problem im freaking out!!

Yeah, that's pretty gross but when it's gone, it's gone. Have your DH clean it up and no more need to worry. Hopefully you won't have any more issues with him so his sweetness won't be overshadowed.

That's not entirely true...

Once it's gone it's gone, unless he gets them again. He needs to be on a flea preventative. Tapeworm is transmitted by ingesting an infected flea.

The meds should work quickly though!

Id buy a worm tablet to for you and your family.. just to be safe.. frigen worms.. makes sure you dh trys to pick up all the poos he does so that way no one else picks them up or you dog doesnt. re worm him in a week and then again in a couple of weeks. He probably wasnt wormeed as a pup.. i know with our pups we had to worm them from 2 weeks to 8 every 2 weeks.. and then the owns had to worm them at 10 and 12 wks and then every 3 months. give the pup a nice warm bath in flea shampoo.. just get on op of it so it doesnt get riddled in fleas.. you can buy natural wormers to...
