I'm trying to determine if I'm dealing with an insufficient lining. I know the main way a mirena IUD works is to strip the lining to prevent implantation. I had the mirena for 5 years, had it removed, had 1 cycle and then got pregnant with Clark. Since my loss my periods have been pretty light. Or at least they seem light to me. I was hoping to find out the average of you girls here.
My periods right now are about 5 days but not a lot of bleeding. My last period I started on Tuesday with light spotting, Wednesday was medium-heavy bleeding and then thurs/fri/sat was light bleeding again. Nothing on Sunday.
Thanks for your input!

My periods usually last 4-5 days. With day 1 being spotting-light, then medium-heavy for 2-3 days, then back to light for another 2 days.

It really varies for me.
Sometimes they are 5 days long and moderately light. I've had AF last as long as 7 days and kind of heavy.

Mine normally lasted 3-5 days, with them being not very heavy but I was on BCP during those. I now an waiting for my period to return since my loss. I am on the Nuva Ring at the moment and this would be the week that it is supposed to come.

Mine aren't that long or that heavy. Maybe 3 days of medium and one light/spotting.

That sucks! I got mine put in when I was 3 months postpartum and since I was BF I wasn't getting a period. I just never started again after childbirth! Every once in a while I would have a bit of spotting but not very often.
Of course now I'm dealing with the side effects from that

Normally I start with one day of very light spotting , then it turns into 1 day on meduim flow, then 2days of heavy and then one day of light ,and last one day of very light spotting. So I would say about 5-7 days sometimes it is shorter.

mirena stinks!!!!
sorry i just REALLY hate that bloomin thing!!
i bled so much when i was on it and suddenly after 6 months the bleeding stopped but the pain got more severe. at 7 months it decided it was going to evict itself from my body and give me P.I.D
anyway, first cycle after it was 39 days. now my cycles average 28-30 but i have started having some VERY early Ovulation issues. af is normally around 5 days. 1 or 2 of them heavy but then i have other months where i can bleed for a almost 2 weeks (god doesnt mark love that one! NOT! lol ) and be heavy for almost a week of that.
i have had 3 losses and i think thats what has messed my cycles up now but before my losses in june and july i was averaging 4-5 day af and only 1-2 heavy
xx

For me, the first day is pretty light, second medium/heavy, third medium, fourth light, fifth light spotting.

Mine lasts 5 days and starts out super heavy the first day or two and then tapers off...I do remember every once in a while having a very light or very heavy AF that lasted longer or shorter, but usually it's consistently heavy then tapers off. I'm no help!

I don't know how much help mine will be but I bleed for about 4 to 5 days, day one light, day two and three medium, day four light, day 5 spotting. I had the mirena for exactly a year. I got it put in 6wks postpartum with DD, and had it removed a year later when we were ready to TTC. Before childbirth, my AF was so HEAVY!!! I would bleed for literally 2 wks and then not bleed for 2 wks. I went on the shot to stop all the bleeding and then...my DD happened.

So you had the Mirena too right before your loss due to the SCH? Wow, that is crazy.
