Hey ladies. I know I haven't been posting much the last few days but I have been here reading and checking on everyone every single day. Just wanted to let you know how the clomid challenge was going for me. I went today for my second FSH draw. My numbers last week were 5.5 which is right in the middle of their range for where they want it to be. They said the lower the better. I got done with the clomid yesterday. I go back on thursday for ultrasound and if their are mature follicles read, then they said they would do an injection to produce the eggs. I must have missed something some where because I didn't have any clue there would be any type of injections. I just thought the ultrasound was to check for mature follicles and see if the clomid did any good. Anyways. I am excited but scared at the same time. As long as my numbers from the first FSH and the second don't go over 25, they said that we had a 40-50% chance of the clomid working. If they were above 40 we only had a 4% chance of it working so I guess thursday is the big day. I am praying sooooo very hard that we get good news. It would be wonderful if we get pregnant this cycle and don't have to worry about any of this anymore. Thanks for being so understanding ladies. Ya'll truly are all amazing and the best. I will let you know how thursday goes when I get home.

Thanks ladies. I really appreciate it. I will update you all as soon as i get back thursday. My appt is at 11:15 CST. I'm soooooooo nervous. Does anyone know anything about the injections? I'm kind of scared. I didn't think to ask the nurse when I was there. I have no idea what it is or how it's done. I just know it's suppose to make the follicles produce eggs. That's all I know!!!!!!!!!!

Thank Eleysia. I went and read one of her posts on the TTCWMA. I did read some about the injectibles but i still don't really understand. We aren't doing the IUI so I don't know. I'm sure they know what they are talking about though. Thanks for letting me know about Bobbie. I might just have to send her a message. At this point, i'm willing to do just about anything. Thanks again.

Hmm, i know she did do IUI, but im wodering if they are the same injections to get you to produce eggs, and then they did the actual IUI for her. Where as youre doing clomid, and then possibly injections if your egg production isnt up? Same injections, two different approaches? not 100% sure, but thats what i thought.. could totally be wrong tho hun.

Thanks Eleysia. I think you are probably right. I think the injection i will be getting is the same as when they do an IUI but i'm not going that far. I just know that the injection is going to be given to try and produce eggs. I just hope it work. Thanks again. I think you are right with your thoughts.

This is what I found...hope it helps.(Hcg in urine shot is also called a trigger shot, and it's just one more way to ensure that ovualtion takes place. I don't recall any side effects with the hcgHcg blood test , but you don't want to test too soon after the shot, because the residual Hcg in urine can cause a postitive result. If a women responds well to clomid and produced a mature follicle, but hasnt Ovulated by cycleday 15 a injection of HCG can be given to bring on Ovulation this acts like LH to produce the release of the mature egg.Once lh surge or injection given you will usually Ovulate within the next 36 hours

thanks for the info. i think the trigger shot is what they are going to be giving me if I have mature follicles. They said they would do it there in the office tomorrow. I'm just nervous. I hope this is the only time I have to do this. thanks again for the info.
