I have been temping for a while, but I'm not sure about this and can't find my book. Is your waking temperature be lower than other times during the day? I'm just curious because for the last two days I have had a waking temp of 97.9, which is high for me, but not really above my normal coverline. I thought maybe I was getting sick or something so about an hour after I woke up this morning I took it again just to see and it was 97.5. ??? Is this normal? Am I just sleeping hot or something? 97.5 is way closer to my normal pre O waking temp than 97.9. What's the deal? Should I throw out the 97.9? Leave it? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I always thought your waking temp would be lower, yes. I thought being away/movements, etc would increase it. So I have no idea, sorry!

Your waking temp should be lower than your temps during the day. This morning may just have been a fluke. I would see what your temp is tomorrow and possible discard today's. Was your house really hot last night?

It wasn't particularly hot, but warmer than it's been since the temp outside was up a bit the last couple nights and then I wake up with a blanket and wool comforter on me. Maybe I'll open the window a bit tonight to see if that makes a difference. Thanks, ladies!

I temp ALL day for fun and sometimes my wakeing temp IS higher then day temps. It never affected my over all charts and I dont worry about it.

Intrestingly it happens MORE often in Pre O phase and almost NEVER after Oing for me.
