Hey there girls,

Have any of you ever had a chemical pregnancy? I think that is what I'm having .. I'm 11dpo and all the pg symptoms I was having are now gone.. just some very sharp cramping now in the vaginal/bottom area, off and on.. If you have had this, how long before you bled ? I should have known better than to try TTC immediately after removal of the IUD.. I just want my af to come so I can have a few normal cycles, then I will TTC again..

Just wondered if anyone else has gone through this..

hugs,
Steph

Oh Steph!!! Have you tested??? A chemical usually shows up on a HPT and then goes away. I'm so sorry hun!!!!! Most people do say to wait for 1 period to come before trying, following the removal of an IUD.

I tested at 9 and 11 dpo and it was negative.. honestly I'd rather not be pg and have AF then know I m/c... I just don't feel right.. up until I tested at 9dpo I had nausea, hot/cold flashes, mild cramping.... now nothing.. guess I just have to wait it out.. trying to get my mind on other stuff... can't prevent it if it is happening ya know?

thanks girlie!
Steph

If you feel that you're having a miscarriage, then you are. Only you can decide for that. Even if the tests were negative. Most women don't know they're having a chemical pregnancy because they don't test.

I'm sorry again, Steph!

I had a chemical my first month ttc after my stillbirth.

I got a BFP at 13dpo and started bleeding at 15dpo and by then my HPT's were negative.

I'm so sorry mama.

I've been dealing with a short LP, was 6-9 days, but I managed to get an 11 day LP & it ended in a chemical pregnancy. I never had a symptom or anything, it just happened. I pretty much would have never known unless I tested.

Every woman should trust their body, and I truly hope your body goes back to normal & you get a lovely BFP soon!

I'm not sure if mine was chemical or not cause I never made it to the doctor on my first one. I had been sick to my stomach at night a lot. My DH insisted that I test even though we were using birth control. My period was more than a week late but I was running a lot at the time and didn't think much of it. I tested positive but started having really sharp pain and spotting before our first Dr's appt just a few days later. I tested the day I first started spotting and my test already showed a negative. That loss actually wasn't "too bad". It was still really hard emotionally, but physically it was only as bad as my worst period. I bled for about 7 days but only 3 heavy days. I had pretty bad cramps the first few days but I was able to go to work and stuff so not crippling. Also, my next cycle was only about a week off the next time so it didn't seem to mess me up too much.

I'm so sorry to hear you might be going through this. My fingers are crossed for you just in case it's a false alarm.

Hi Sweet...if it is a chemical pregnancy I am truly sorry. You do normally get a BFP with C.P. though and then your period begins as normal or a few days late. You do get symptoms but they quickly vanish once AF begins, you also generally have more cramping and a heavier period...

I hope this is not the case for you and giving your body that cycle to recover & get back to normal is probably for the best.

oh steph
my last 3 pregnancies have ended a day after having my bfp (doc classed last 2 as chemical and first as m/c but i dont know why)
i didnt get any different feelings apart from in my head that something wasnt right. the first i knew for sure was when the bleeding started.

xx
