I'm going crazy! (and hi!)

Hi ladies,

I'm Meredith, new to this board. I had a D&C 7 weeks ago for m/c at 9 weeks. My midwife recommended I wait to TTC until after my first period after the D&C to allow my uterine lining to recover. So now it's been 7 weeks and AF hasn't showed. The midwife said it can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks to have a period following D&C, but from reading through posts here, it seems that most people started cycling again in the 4-6 week range. Did anyone's period take this long after m/c? I've never wanted AF to show so badly!

Mine took 5 weeks, but 7 weeks isn't abnormal, as you know. I hope AF comes for you soon so you can begin TTC again. And I am very sorry for your loss.

Mine came 29 days after my d&c, but everyone's body's are different. 7 weeks is in the normal range.

i didnt have a d&c but wanted to say welcome and im sorry for you loss
the girls here are wonderful and i couldnt have got through my losses without them

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss!!!

As for AF taking so long, 4-12 weeks is a good estimate following a D&C. I had a natural M/C and it took 32 days from the day the bleeding had stopped to return. Everyone is different though, and I think AF is right around the corner for you!
