Introducing myself!

Hello. I'm Mandy. I'm a long time JM member and a newly trying to conceive after loss member.

We lost our baby at 6 weeks on October 22. It was extremely hard. I went for an u/s only to find out there was a gestational sac and no baby inside. I naturally miscarried the next day. It's amazing how you just know there is something wrong. Amazing. It was an awful thing to overcome and I think I'm learning to live with it. It's hard. People are sometimes extremely difficult to talk to about something so awful.

I am in my LP after the miscarriage. This month has been weird with the temps. I showed signs of O about a week or so ago and then yesterday I had a large temp drop and then it rose back up today. I'm not sure if that's possible. How likely is it to O after a miscarriage. I have read that many women do 2 weeks after a mc, but what are the chances to actually get pregnant?

I'm not sure what the chances of getting pregnant are, but I wish you luck!

Welcome to the board. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm still recovering from a miscarriage myself. I don't have any answers for you...I'm sorry. I'm very confused about the post miscarriage cycle too. I started bleeding again 2 1/2 weeks after mine. I don't know if that is my next cycle or if I'm still on the first. Oh well...again, welcome. I look forward to chatting with you.

I am sorry for your loss. Well I will tell you this. I had a miscarriage in September 2005 and I got pregnant right away in October. So yes you can ovulate right way!!! I wish you the best of luck

hello mandy and welcome.
im so sorry for your loss.

it is defo possible to get pregnant straight after loss. i had a loss in june and was preg again in july. a lot of women are more fertile straight after loss.

well that's very helpful! I am hoping I am. My temps are still up as of the recent dip. I am just have o'ed that day, I don't know. Does a mc officially end when all of the hormones are out of your body or just after you stop bleeding? It took another few days after the bleeding for the hormones to be completely out of my body. This all is just confusing to me. I am hoping I am pregnant. That would be a true blessing

WELCOME. Sorry about your m/c. I also had a mc on Octo23rd. My bleeding and spotting lasted for about 5-6 days. Then, dbf and I started ttc again. I am hoping that it worked. My betas were back to 2 one week after, which they consider 'undetectable', so we went for it. I have heard that you may be more fertile that first 3 cycles...so why waste it. I cried for 10 days straight, and didn't go to work...finally, the cloud lifted and I was ready to face everyone and everything again. So, I figured we should go ahead and try. According to my midwife...'go for it'. I hope all goes well for you . Keep us posted.

Welcome Mandy. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. After my m/c I was certain that O'ed shortly after. AF showed up 23 days after the m/c. I hope you caught that egg!

I acually never have Oed before first af after any loss so I am no help. Good luck!

My first AF came about 5 weeks after my D&E...I was told to use birth control because you do O before that first period. In my case I couldn't/shouldn't get pregnant for 3 months to let my body heal so I'm guessing that's why they gave me that info.
