Hi Ladies
I have some sad news about Sarah-the-sane-one
She was taken to hospital this afternoon with a suspected eptopic pregnancy. This evening she had a scan and they have found a sack of fluid in the uterus but nothing else in it, as well as one on the ovary. They're looking at removing it tonight or in the morning.
She asked me to let you all know and I am sure you will keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she waited so long for this lil bean, it seems just so unfair!

We've all been there but I am sure you all know how much Sarah wanted this and for how long, she doesn't deserve this.

Are they only going to remove the one on the ovary?! It could still be too early to pick up a fetal pole on an u/s!!

I don't know for sure, I would assume that they will only take the one from the ovary - I certainly hope so.

That is exactly what I was going to say. I know nothing about ectopics or the possiblity of surgery this early in a pregnancy but she is VERY early and it is ridiculous to think that an ultrasound would show anything at this point.
A fetal pole was not visible during my last pregancy until after I was 6 weeks. I had a scan at 5w6d and all that was seen at that time was a gestational sac and a yolk sac.
I wish her the best and she is in my t&p.

Just a quick update, they are going to remove the sac from the ovary tonight or tomorrow, I think all we can do is pray that they don't harm the sac in the uterus and that its growing a healthy bean they are just too early to see!
~*Gypsey*~ from the General Spirituality board has started a candle group for Sarah and would like to invite anyone who wants to light a virtual candle for Sarah to join in.
It might give Sarah some small comfort to see it when she comes back.
