Is it possible to BD to much?
DH and I have "done the deed" every night for the past 2 weeks... granted just for the past week have we not used protection... but still... I am curious if maybe BDing to much can decrease chances, causing a lower sperm count possibly, you are welcome to laugh at me if you need to.

Actually I've heard that BD'ing every night actually CAN lower his swimmer-count. Obviously since he's *ahem* unloading all the time it doesn't give very much time to re-generate. I think that is why most people say to bd every other day?? I'm not 100% sure, but that's what I've heard

Not a dumb question at all. I dont have the info to back up what im gonna tell you, i could try to google it, but.... it can.

If he is older, or has a lower sperm count to begin with, then it really can effect it. The best idea is to bd like every other day around O, and every 2 days or so when not around O if you still want some booty lol. Sperm live for 3-5 days so..... even if its every other day around ovulation, youll be ok

i was told yes when i was ttc but this is only the case if there is a problem with DHs supplies.
we had been taking it easy even though ttc but last month we just did it as we pleased (well actually, whenever I wanted ) and now im pregnant!

I was wondering, unfortuanly DH and I are both very high driven (if you know what I mean) and we would probably participate in it two to three times a day if given the chance... if we don't happen to get pregnant before my first cycle, I will chart and maybe just "back" off on the days we are O'ing and only do it ever other day!

I have always heard that unless DH has an issue with his sperm, that every day is okay (Granted, I've always thought of it as everyday for the fertile "week" not everyday of the month! )

my doctor said every other day cause it takes the spermies some time to reload. i know we did it every day around O for months and the month I tried every other day, we got pregnant. not sure if it was a coincidence or not....

My midwife said every other day...but her reason was so that it was still fun and not a chore. She didn't mention anything about it having a negative effect on ttc. I couldn't tell her that we do it at least once if not more every day. We have been together almost 3 years and enjoy it almost if not more than the first time.

Yep, they say every other day is best because it builds the spermies back up!
