Hi ladies. My name is Talia. I see some familar names in here, so some of you may know me. DH and I have 4 girls and we've been TTC again. This was cycle #9, 1st with Clomid. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage this week. This isn't my first, it's my fourth. The last one was back in 2002 and the other 2 years before that!! This time I was 6 weeks along. I started bleeding late Saturday night, it got very heavy Monday and Tuesday with clots and has lightened up since. I didn't have any cramping, just pressure near my cervix.

I went to the OB on Monday. She examined me and told me my cervix was closed. They did blood work Monday and Wednesday and then I went back today to talk to her and get the results.

This part is xposted:
It's official. The doctor said my HCG levels dropped, the last test on Wed, my beta was 12. She said she wanted to draw blood again today to make sure it goes down more, but that it looked like everything got out. She asked if we were going to try again and I was like YES. So, she asked if I ever had a full miscarriage workup done. I told her no. So, she said she wanted to do that too. Great... more blood work.

She said I could start trying right away. She said they only suggest waiting a cycle so they know what the dates are. She gave me another prescription for Clomid and said for that I have to wait for another cycle and then I take that on certain days. But, I can try this month without it. She also said the testing would look at my Folic Acid something or other and she gave me a prescription for that and also told me to take one baby aspirin a day. Not sure why... I'll be doing some research on that now. Anyway, I'm supposed to start taking them now because some of the tests may take a while to get back.

She said she'd put a note on my file, so when I do get pregnant and call for an appointment they will get me in ASAP.

So, the lady came in to do the blood work. I faint easily with needles. Push a baby out... no problem. Take blood... UGH!!! So, I had to lie down on the table/bed thing. IT HURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She warned me she had to take a lot to do all the tests. I literally counted 10 tubes and then said "was that really 10?" and she said "about that and I need about 5 more". OMG!!!!!!! I tried joking with her, asking if she was going to leave any blood IN my body. I had to lie there for about 10 minutes afterwards. I still feel lightheaded and my arm HURTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told her she better run every test imaginable, cuz I wasn't ever going through this again.

I guess that's about it. If I didn't have the kids I babysit for here, I'd lay down until I could see straight again.

Emotionally, I'm doing okay. I had a few bad days this week. But, I'm hoping to just keep doing better. I guess being too busy to sit down and think can be a good thing sometimes.
-----

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all.

I am so sorry for your losses!

Your daughters are beautiful by the way!

I'm glad your Dr is doing the bloodwork (even though it's so horrible for you!) Good luck!

Heya Talia. Im so sorry youre having to go through this again. Its awsome that your doc is doing that work up for you though. Maybe youll get some answers. Best wishes to you and your family while you TTC. Hope youre here for a while, but get your BFP soon.

PS the baby asprin is to thin your blood. Its in case you have a clotting disorder, and im sure thats something youre being tested for.

Thank you all
I am glad she wanted to do the tests without me having to beg to find out if something was wrong, but my arm doesn't agree with me right now It still hurts.

Oh and thanks for the info on the asprin.

Hugs Sarah!! It's okay. I just couldn't go there yet. It was the first day I hadn't broken down and I really didn't want to. I'm usually pretty good at moving on and seeing babies and talking babies. It's just the first couple weeks for me that are really hard.
I am SO happy for you!!

Hi Talia. My name is Kimberley. It's so bittersweet to welcome new members. We have an amazing board, but the reason behind it is so sad. I am sorry for all of your losses.
