So, I guess I'm having a miscarriage? The flow isn't heavy, but it is red, and it is there. I went all night without using a pad or anything, but then it was there again this morning. It might be bright red, then brown, then almost gone. The truly upsetting thing is that AF was due on the Saturday, so I tested and got a BFN. Then AF started the next day. It only lasted four days and wasn't that heavy, but it was still an AF. This 'spotting' started on Friday morning. It is now Sunday. Am I miscarrying? Please, can somebody help me. I am bawling because I went to my Christmas party last night and had a few drinks and I was taking the Robitussin. I think I caused a miscarriage, and I am so, so sorry. Sorry the pic is blurry, I can't stop shaking.

Was that test taken today? It is a very dark BFP! That is great news!! that line is way darker than mine was for quite some time. It is possible to have an AF during pregnancy, but I would probably go and see your Dr. tomorrow. He can get your beta levels to see where you are at. Don't feel guilty about the drinks and Robitussin. A baby that small is very protected, and I am sure you didn't do any harm.
I will be praying for you and your little bean.

First off, Robitussin during pregnancy is safe, and a few drinks this early won't be a problem, so don't worry that you caused a miscarriage.
Second, it is completely possible to have bleeding during the first tri and to have everything be fine. I wouldn't run to the ER, there is nothing they can do if it's a miscarriage anyways. I would contact your OB tomorrow and first off have a set of Beta's run and maybe get an ultrasound and go from there.
Do you have any cramping?

A few drinks and Robitussin will NOT cause a miscarriage. Whatever happens, this is not your fault...you didn't hurt this pregnancy. Please don't beat yourself up. Hang in there and get to see a Doc.
We are all pulling for you!

I dont know about the bleeding but I know a lot of women who arent TTC drink before they find out they are pregnant.
I drank on New Years before I knew I was pregnant and I was terrified when I did find out. My doctor reassured me that everything would be fine.

Laurie,
I know I don't post here much anymore, but I still lurk and keep up with you all. I just have to post and let you know that your situation is EXACTLY how I found out about my DD at 8 weeks. I was late, tested, BFN, period started, lasted 4-5 days, started feeling sick but thought nothing of it, tested the next month pretty early, DARK bfp. When I went to the doc thinking I was 4 weeks they did an ultrasound and there was a big 8 week baby. I'm glad I never tested again when I was bleeding, otherwise I would have thought I was miscarrying too. To this day I still don't know what my bleed was, it was too much for IB...but I do know that I ovulated really late and that is why I got a BFN when AF was late. I really hope that you are having normal bleeding (I know that it's possible!) Go in and get an ultrasound if you can.

I just got off the phone with Telehealth, and the nurse told me to be seen by a doctor within 24 hours (unless my symptoms change), but she made me very frightened because I used tampons. She said that the fact that I'm not bleeding very much or having cramping meant that I can wait until tomorrow to be seen. I am just kicking myself because I knew I was pregnant. I had the symptoms, but the BFN and the 'period' made me change my mind. I honestly don't know what I will do if I lose this baby. I already have so much guilt from losing my daughter. Now I am stressing over every little twinge. I think I may drive myself insane. Thank-you soooo much everybody. I don't know what I would do without you.

I know you are scared but nothing you did would cause you to miscarry. I had bleeding with both of my boys, scared me to death because of my past miscarriages and they were fine. Sometimes the bleeding can be caused by blood vessels popping due to excessive blood flow.
