OK...I have a question that may seem dumb. But, it's really important to me. We saw a heartbeat at 6w. We took a trip to Disney. I lost all of my pregnancy symptoms during the week. I spotted and then stopped bleeding on October 10th. I went in for an u/s on October 11th and there was no longer a heartbeat. I didn't actually m/c until October 27th. The m/c wasn't "complete" until Oct. 29th. Please help me. What date did my little angel grow wings? I just need opinions, no definitive answers required. I need some closure.

First I am sorry for your loss. It is a difficult thing to lose a baby. The group here is wonderful and supportive. I hope you find comfort and friendship here. I would say that your angel got wings the day the heart stopped beating. Officially though I think it is the day the actual miscarriage started. From what I have read they say the first day of bright red blood is counted as cycle day 1.

Hi Hun!

I am so sorry for your loss...it does get easier and the pain will ease.

For me personally I would say the bub passed on the 10th but that's my personal opinion not a medical one.

I also agree with the above. For me, the weekend before our 1st appointment my symptoms stopped, on Monday I had my 1st appt with my OB and she confirmed there was no heartbeat. I use the day I had my D&C as the day my angel grew wings because she was still with me until then. So I think you can really choose if you want to.

I am so sorry for your loss.
