I met with the perinatologist on Wednesday. She was very nice and supportive, though recommended much more exercise and weight loss. But what's new. Anyhow she was a little appalled with the lack of information in my chart from my other doctor. Apparently all of the documentation from the delivery wasn't there. My doctor never got it. Also, there was no records regarding my requested autopsy on the baby. So I need to request them. The Dr. stated that if there is no "reason" for the miscarriage that she wanted to have me tested for thrombophilia. I am wondering if anyone has this or had this type of testing done.

I guess I am just more curious about this because after reading up about it, and that it is genetic, I wonder if my mom has it. She's been taking Heperin to avoid clots, but I am not sure if its due to a clotting problem or a heart problem. She doesn't really like to talk about it. I'll look into it, but I wanted to check with you ladies in the meantime. Thanks!
