Thanks for thinking of me, Kelly. I know more, but unfortunately none of it is good. The betas from Friday came back at over 8000, so I had another blood draw yesterday afternoon. I had been bleeding on and off all weekend, but last night around 9pm I started having a lot of pain. It was like, bend me over and make me break into a cold sweat kind of pain. We went to the ER and the doctor told me I was probably miscarrying, then he checked my paperwork and saw my blood test results and previous (useless) u/s and decided to book me for another u/s this morning. They gave me some pain meds and sent me home. I had my u/s this morning and they found nothing in my uterus but 'masses' on both my ovaries. They suspect I have at least one ectopic pregnancy. I have to have an appt with the OBGYN to discuss when I will have surgery, etc. I may lose both my ovaries. The doctor told me that they will do everything they can to save them, but they just can't tell enough info from the u/s. I am officially at rock bottom, I think.

Oh my goodness Laurie, I was starting to worry that we hadn't heard from you, but was hoping that maybe I was just being a worrier (I tend to be one). I am so very sorry to hear how things have turned out. I'm clinging to the hope that "loss of both ovaries" is just an absolute worse-case-scenario that they've given you.
Do you have a good support system right now, hun? And someone to watch Connor? I hope so. Please feel free to PM me anytime if you need someone to listen. Also, if you can, please let us know what you find about surgery, etc. I will continue to worry!

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear your news. Please make sure you take care of yourself, and, if you doubt anything the doctor is recommending, seek a second opinion. I'm not trying to scare you, I just want to make sure you get the best results from this as possible. I'm praying for you...and you are in my thoughts. Please keep us updated. sending hugs your way

Oh my! That is truly some of the worst news I've heard lately. I hope you have some good news in the upcoming days.
My DH's co-worker's wife had her eggs harvested, but soemthing went wrong and she lost both of her ovaries. But I guess they were able to harvest more during the process. I know she was going through the procedure to harvest, but maybe if your ovaries are lost, maybe they can harvest a few eggs for IVF later? I hope however you are able to keep your ovaries.

Thank-you so much everyone. I have to see the OBGYN at 9am, so I am waiting to see what he says. Either way, if I have an ectopic pregnancy on one ovary and a cyst on the other, I am going to ask if it is OK to leave the cyst alone. I've never had cysts before, so I'm not sure if that is possible. I am also going to ask if there are any non-surgical ways of removing the ectopic (assuming that that is what it is for sure), because I've heard there is a drug they can give you to break-up the ectopic pregnancy. I just don't know what to think because ever since Monday night (the night I went to the ER in so much pain), my abdominal area has been very bloated. I can't even do up my pants and it's very uncomfortable. My nurse suggested that I miscarried without realizing it, but from the thread I posted asking all of you what you miscarriages were like, I am pretty sure I would have noticed. I haven't expelled any tissue and only twice I had very small clots. That just doesn't sound right. Ugh. I don't know what is going on, but thanks for thinking of me guys. I will post later today if I am able.
