I called my doctor's office to see if they had any test results yet. I had all that blood drawn on the 21st, the signs around the office say "Wait 2 weeks before calling". So, I waited 2 1/2 weeks and called. They called back and the nurse said "The doctor wants you to come in on Monday to discuss your test results." Uh-oh, that's not good. It's never good if they won't tell you the results over the phone. She also said I have to have more blood drawn for the beta levels. They must not have gone down enough. And we've been TTC!!! So, if they do draw blood and I did get pregnant, how would they know?

I am completely freaking out now. What is wrong with me? Why won't they tell me what's wrong over the phone? Can't be just a low level of something. It's gotta be bad...

Michael says it can't be too bad because they didn't call me. What if they just missed it? and when I called, they went and looked and went "uh oh, nobody ever called her!!!" UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is NOT good.

What were the levels at the draw before the one on the 21st? It's always so hard to wait, isn't it? I hope everything is fine and you get good news.

I know my levels on the 19th were 12 and she said they had gone down "nicely" from the 17th (I had blood drawn the 17th, 19th, and 21st). I never got the results from the 21st, that's what I was calling for. They were repeating the beta and doing a full miscarriage workup. I have no idea what they test for in that workup. So, I don't know what to be worried about!!! And another blood test... ugh!!!! I hate needles.

At my last blood draw my OB said my levels were 13. They said the same thing. "The numbers have come down nicely." I don't know what a full miscarriage work up is...
If I were you, I'd call and ask what tests are regularly done and why...Tell them you're worried. Maybe they can fill you in so you don't have to worry about the appointment on Monday. Or, ask if the doc can call you. That way you can get your answers.

By the way, totally off topic, but, I love your Cullen stuff!!! I love the Twilight series!!!

Keep me posted. I'd like to know what the doc's office says.

The doc office won't give you info unless it's the doctor himself. If it's just the secretary, she just relays what is written on the file.

It sucks that they won't tell you, but I'm sure it's nothing bad, because if it was...you'd be in MUCH sooner than Monday! For them to do a miscarriage follow-up with you, is a wonderful thing. My doc never did that, I didn't get so much as a phone call after my miscarriage.

Good luck on Monday, and be sure to update us on how it went!

I'm sorry the nurse worried you...

I'll be praying that it isn't anything bad...
