Patty, that's really cool. The only grapes I have on Christmas is wine And maybe none this year, depending on my cycle and what we decide to do...

The past few years we've had my in-laws over. The kids play in the basement. The women play cards upstairs. The men watch a movie.

Then, we eat too much and I say to myself,"Starting tomorrow, I'm going on a diet..." Ahhh, yes, New Year's resolutions.

I'm not sure what we'll do this year...

We bowl with our church and pray into the new year. Our church rents out the entire bowling alley from 10pm to 2am! It's a blast!

It's usually a relaxing evening at home. DH is a restaurant manager so he usually has to work.
I am lucky if I am still awake at midnight, kinda pathetic.

With my family! A few drinks, and a relaxing night at home.

We prefer a quiet New Year, just the two of us. This year we plan to have a fondue.

DH and I try to do something different every year...we've celebrated in other cities (Key West was so much fun to do New Years in!) and done a variety of New Year's Eve parties/events in DC when we lived there. This year we're probably just going to do something quiet at home - unless I find something exciting to do here in Dallas.

Patty - my husband and I did that last new year's eve!! We went to a spanish restaurant to ring in the new year, and they had everyone there celebrate that tradition. Such pressure! it was harder than I would have thought to eat 12 grapes so quickly (we had like a minute I think as the bells tolled in the New Year?) but was great fun...and what a neat tradition!
