Hello everyone! My name is Ashley (22) and my SO is Jason (23) and we will be ttc after our loss, as soon as I am able to. I sooooooo happily joined the August DDC just last week, and then this Wednesday it was confirmed I had a miscarriage. I was almost 5 weeks along, and the pain and hurt is something I never want to experience again, and I wish no one had to. Jason and I have been together 3 wonderful years and a whole year of that was spent waiting for him to be ready to start ttc. So when the time came in November we began our first cycle with high hopes. Last Friday I woke up to high temps so I tested...BFP! I was over the moon excited, I cant even begin to explain my joy that day I was literally on cloud 9 for the next 5 days. We started talking about everything! Names, nursery decor, what room to use for the nursery, started looking at mommy cars...etc (I wish we hadnt started talking about all that stuff already). When Tuesday morning came and I woke up to brown spotting which quickly turned into red blood I freaked out and called my dr's office. The sent me to the lab for bloodwork and said thats all I could do and to wait until Wednesday (the next day) for my results. That night when my SO and I went to bed he was kissing my belly and saying "stay with us baby bean" "we love you" and then slept with his hand on my belly all night. That was heartbreaking. I woke up Wednesday and the bleeding was worse, it was such an emotional rollercoaster I decided I cant wait until 1pm to call the dr's office to get my results so I headed to the ER, I wanted my answer now. They did their own bloodwork and confirmed my HCG was only 14 and I was told go home and rest and I will continue to bleed for probably a week or so.

So here we are after an early loss, and all we want to do is be pregnant again. I think everyone heals differently and my only way to start to heal will be to get pregnant again as soon as possible. I chart and have for awhile, is it okay to start ttc as soon as I ovulate again? Alot of people have told me go ahead since I had a very early loss, I just wanted to ask to see if anyone had an early loss like me and it was okay to start as soon as I notice ovulation again.

Sorry this got so long, I look forward to getting to know all of you, and look forward to ttc again.

Hey lady!

What does your Dr say about TTC again? Personally I would wait until you get AF to start trying that cycle. It will give your body some time to heal, your uterine lining to build up and shed again naturally, etc. But I understand wanting to TTC again immediately. And I know some Dr's say the one cycle wait is only for the purpose of dating the pregnancy. Some Dr's even say waiting a few cycles (early or not), so I'm sure you're going to get different answers here.

Thinking of you!

They said to wait a couple months or so, but they said it for was for dating purposes! I chart though so I dont need them to date it for me! I just wanted to see if it was medically okay, like if it would cause any problems?

I haven't talked to my Dr yet about this loss, I will go in in a week or so to do that....but with my last one...which was a D&C at 10 weeks...he told me to wait until AF came and try that cycle. BUT he did say if I happened to get pregnant before AF came, that there shouldn't be a problem (medically). I just wanted to wait because if there was, I would worry I'd think it was because I didn't wait. Which wouldn't have been the case because it happened again and that was 3 months later!

Ashley...since I already responded to your TTC question in PL I won't repeat it again here. But did want to welcome you to this group and wish you a speedy TTC journey to getting pregnant again!

Hi Ashley, I'm sorry about your loss, I know how heartbreaking it is.

Since your loss was so soon. I don't see a problem with waiting. As we know it can take time to get your so you may as well get to it - as long as you are ready emotionally.

Hey, I'm so sorry you had to join us here, but glad you found us. I was glancing at the Aug DDC and saw your story, I was hoping you'd come over. I'd say that whenever you're emotionally ready, if your Dr thinks it's ok, then go for it. Just be prepared for screwy cycles. They can make the emotional rollercoaster even worse, so just know it can happen and try not to let it make you too crazy. I hope you like it here, everyone here is so awesome. I don't know what I would've done without them. I hope you get your sticky soon!
