Well there is good news and questionable news...I am getting off here in about 25 mins and then have to run to the commissary and then I will be home and I scan the pics to show you...

There is a baby...measuring 7w0d with a heart beat of 138BPM...so THAT part is the good news!

The questionable news is...there also seems to be a large mass present that has my doc completely stumped...there is no blood flow so she isn't worried that it is a tumor or anything like that...she thinks that maybe it is a clot or some old blood left over maybe from implantation...Dustin was just relieved it wasn't another baby...the mass is about twice the size of the baby but it doesn't seem to be hindering the baby's growth for now...you can see it VERY clearly on the ultrasound pictures...

I will post them as SOON as I get home...I promise!!

Edit:

Patty I completely forgot to put that part in here!! The doc will see me again for another u/s in 2 weeks just to monitor the mass...she is fairly certain that it is a blood clot and will more than likely reabsorb...

I'm sorry to hear about the mass, I really hope it's nothing, are they going to wait and see what happens with that? I mean what's the next step?

YAY for good measurement & heartbeat!!!

Try not to worry about the mass...I've seen some other women post where they had same strange lump/mass on early u/s but then it disappeared (maybe reabsorbed?) on later u/s...

Hooray for the HB! That's great news. I'm sure the mass is nothing to worry about. It will probably be gone by your next u/s.

Congrats on the HB!

That "mass" looks an awful lot like the SCH I had, and since they mentioned it could be a clot or old blood, I would look into that. I would also NOT freak out if you start bleeding. Even if it's red blood, has clots or is heavy. If you have a mass or clot of blood in there it is natural for it to bleed itself out.
