I'm new! I have been lurking here for a while and got the guts to stop into the chat last night and felt welcomed enough that I figured that I might as well introduce myself despite still being in the waiting limbo game.

My name is Kati (25, civil engineer) and I am married to my beloved DH Nick (28, elementary school music teacher) since August 4, 2007. (Odd side fact is we met on eharmony.) I stopped taking birth control in April 2008 and used FAM/charting for 4 cycles to let my body regulate and then we started TTC in September. We were blessed with a BFP on our second cycle trying in October.

I had some minor spotting early in the pregnancy at 6 weeks (11/5/08) but remained hopeful after seeing a viable heartbeat at an early 7 week ultrasound. The spotting disappeared for a few weeks but returned at 11 weeks (12/8/08), at an ultrasound no heartbeat was found and the pregnancy only measured at 8 weeks. I had a D&C on 12/12/08 and the spotting finally stopped on 12/23/08. It has been a physical and emotional roller coaster to say the least (as I am sure you all understand).

Anyways I am sure that is more details than you all needed to know. Doctors orders are to wait 2 cycles before trying again. I promise to wait at least 1.

Oh..I'm so sorry. I think I recognize you from TTC?

All losses are obviously heartbreaking, but it kills me to hear about women who hear the heartbeat and then have a miscarriage. I've never heard the heartbeats, but I know I'd think I was "safe" if I did. It's sad that's not always the case.

Hi, Kati, welcome to the board. I'm so sorry for your loss and the emotional rollercoaster you have been put through, but I'm glad you decided to join us. Everyone here is really fantastic and very understanding. I don't think I could've made it without them. I hope you get your sticky BFP really soon!!!

HI, Kati! We unoffically met last night in chat. Here is your official welcome! I am so sorry for your loss. DH and I also saw the hb and then later had a m/c. It was heartbreaking. I'm sorry you had to go through this...
We have three boys (13, 10 and 7) and are going to start TTC in January. You've found a great place. The women here are wonderful. I don't know what I would have done without them. Welcome, again!!! And, I hope 09 brings you your BFP and a beautiful new addition to your family!

Hi Kati! Welcome to our wonderful board. You did not say more than we needed to hear. That is what we are here for. We have all been through similar experiences and somehow find comfort in knowing that we are not alone and have each other. I hope that you get pg really soon...but continue to hang around. While you wait for those two glorious lines, we will be here cheering you on and offering support. I know that a lot of you saw hb before m/c and my heart breaks for you. The odds were in your favor, and don't forget that they are once again. I can't wait to get to know you.
