We just had a quiet night at home and watched the ball drop on TV...and I marvelled that the best musical act the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex could pull for it's "official" NYE celebration was a band called "Cross Canadian Ragweed"....what? Jessica Simpson couldn't be pulled away from Tony Romo to at least provide one quasi-D-list celebrity for the bash??? seriously weak.

I slept...I'm such a downer haha. I was passed out by 9pm. I haven't stayed up since 2003.

I stayed home and chilled with my mom. My sister and her fiance were also here, but I enjoyed spending the night with mom. We watched Toronto's news channel do the countdown as she usually does. It was nice.

My DH and I went to the Casino for the buffett, walked around the outlet, then came home to read. I fell asleep on the couch (I'll blame pregnancy) and he woke me up 5 till 12. I managed to stay up till the neighbors set off fireworks then we crashed. But we got to crawl in together and snuggle up and sleep in. What more could you want? I'm not going to be upset for not being able to drink champagne, though I love my champagne.

DH and I went to a new years eve party with our small group (bible study group). It was a lot of fun we stayed there until a little after 2am.

DH and I spent a quiet night at home. Played some video games, watched a movie, and had a glass of champagne when the ball dropped.

We had a New Years Party at our house and finally made it to bed about 230 the next morning. We had lots of fun. I was the only one not drinking but sometimes it's just fun to sit back and watch everyone else. I definately would trade being pregnant so that I could drink.

DH and I went over to a friend's house, 4 couples...and a baby.
I was good until the baby ended up in DH's arms and then the tears came (mine, not the baby's).
All in all it was a good evening other than that.
May 2009 be better than 2008!

We stayed in. We had a fondue dinner (steak and shrimp). Then we watched some t.v. and went to bed. Nothing exciting.

We spent the New Year's at a beautiful ski resort in Montana. We swam in the outdoor (heated) pool while it snowed and had some drinks. We spent the next day on the slopes with the best snow we have had in years.

We went out to dinner and each had a drink and then went and picked up Madison from grandma's house and then came home and watched a movie and then when the ball dropped we both kissed Madison at the same time as a way to say thankx for our miricle. It was a fun and lazy night.
