Hi Ladies,

I have definitely been MIA for the past week while DH and I have been sorting through some things. This was my first cycle TTC again after my last loss. I was really looking forward to O'ing in the next few days and starting this journey again. Anyway, last week at work I got an unexpected job offer. I won't know for a while if I will get the job or not...I'm competing with one other person. The job will certainly secure the "fast track" in my career. The downside is that the job comes with CRAZY work hours...minimum of 12 hours a day plus weekends.

The unexpected job offer has certainly thrown my life in a whirl. I'm not sure it's right to let a career dictate family, but then again, I think there are better times in life to plan for a child than others. I fear that if I get pregnant, I won't get the job (legal or not). I also fear that they may still hire me, pregnant, and that I will resent the long hours and the time away from home. Plus, I would probably have to come back really quickly after having the baby and have almost no time off.

We have decided to wait to TTC for a while to see what happens. I rushed out to the clinic to get some birth control but I had to start taking it in the middle of my cycle (and we all know how effective that is....haha). So, who knows what will happen this cycle...we may end up pregnant anyway and this whole post will be a lark.

So for now, good bye and good luck to everyone. I'm sure we'll be back at some point, but I don't know when that will be. I can't promise I will even have time to lurk if I get the new job, but I will see how it goes.

liz

Liz - I refuse to say goodbye to you! So instead you get a big GOOD LUCK on the job - I hope you get it...and then I hope we'll see you back around here sometime in the future when the timing is better for you to TTC again!
