When do you start testing after ovulation?
I'm not testing until 6dpo this time or if I can hold out to 8dpo it would work.

That depends...do I have HPTs in the house? I find it impossible to resist the urge to POAS if I can hear the little HPT voices calling me from the cabinet
I actually start testing at 8-9DPO. I have a shorter luteal phase and a 25-26 day cycle, so, combined with my POAS addiction and a shorter cycle, I'm an earlllly tester.

I also have a small (ok huge) addiction to POAS. If I don’t have any hpt’s in the house I can usually wait till at least day 10, although it is very hard. DH keeps threatening to hide all hpt’s until the day after af is due.

It depends on how badly I want to be pregnant. I know it sounds weird, but when I really hope to be pregnant (aka December 2008) I tested immediately. Seeing as I don't know when I O'd for sure, it could have been like 5dpo, or 1dpo! Then like every few days to a week after the last test till CD 37.
Other months, I don't test at all or wait until I THINK AF will come.

I usually can make it to 10 dpo. Even that is pretty early, although I got a super faint line that day with both my pg. I usually can't confirm until 11 dpo with a FRER.

My husband does the same thing. He thinks I'm nuts, but I just have to POAS. I mean I know I ovulated, but I still take OPK's. haha...I don't know, I'm nuts

I've never tested before AF was due. Though let me tell you i've been tempted to LOL! But I normally hold out until AF is at least 3 days late. So ex: if AF started on 3/5 I'd start testing on 4/8 or later.

So I've only been able to get positive's at 10DPO. That's when i should start testing, but somehow I justify testing sooner every time LOL.

I'm a huge POAS addict so usually about 7dpo. However, strangely enough the month I got my positive HPT I was SO sure that I was out I didn't test until 17dpo. I was shocked when it was positive. I would like to say I'd be better at waiting when we do start TTC again, but I doubt it.

With my last baby I found 4 days before my missed period. I was due on August 14th and I tested on the 10th, but I knew before than I was pregnant (just a hunch) But that was the first and last test I took.

I try to wait until AF is due before testing. I find BFN's more depressing than AF.

My DH is actually a worse POAS addict than I am...I've never gotten a BFP earlier than 9DPO that is normally when I liked to start testing...but DH always made me start at 7DPO...his justification "theres always a chance!"...yeah...whatever...

OK, so we threw away birth control last Feb!!! But, until our bfp and subsiquent m/c in OCT, never really paid attention. Now, I am paying attention and know what is going on with my body. This makes it a lot harder. When I got my bfp on Oct 18th, I was over a week late for af and didn't even realize it. Now, af isn't even due until the 18th and I have been doing $store tests for 4 days. So, I guess my answer is...when not ttc or ntnp I wait, sometimes a long time. When ttc, probabley 8-10 dpo. So bad!!!
