Hi everyone. I am new here. I first joined the board in December, when I found out I was expecting my third baby, due Aug.9.
I sadly lost the baby at about 6-7 weeks. Started bleeding Dec.17 until about the 23rd. I had a natural miscarriage.

Me and my dh were utterly and totally devastated. I had two healthy, uneventful pregnancies before, and took it for granted, so the thought had never crossed my mind that this could happen. It would have been dh's first baby (second marriage for me)

Here is my dilemma: we had sex a few times after the mc (end of Dec), and now I feel pregnant again. Sore boobs are back,as well as general fatigue. I took a test on Monday and it was positive. I know it could be from leftover hcg. But, I should have gottten my period by now.
Could I really have gotten pregnant two weeks after a miscarriage?

I am just worried because it seems like many people who do become pregnant so soon after a loss end up losing that one too...so in a way I don't even want to know if I am indeed pregnant....I wanted to wait a couple months at least, and now I feel like I may have endangered the life of this baby too (if there is a baby)

I also had two back to back losses- but I want to reassure you that it is rare. I had a condition causing the losses that was fixed by surgery. Since you've had 2 healthy pregnancies before if you are pregnant again I bet you have a very sticky bean!

that's good! If you get 2 sets done with higher numbers the second time then you know you are. Plus you can do a u/s if you're comfortable with them.

I'll keep you in my T&P. it's such a scary time, and so many emotions!

I've heard that is a sign of pregnancy. I've also heard that a woman is very fertile after an m/c.

Good luck and I'm very sorry for your loss.

I feel like your body has had plenty of time to go back to normal and be pg again. My hormone levels were back to 0 less than a week after the bleeding subsided. Good luck huney. I hope this is the one for you. Please keep us posted, and talk to your doc.

thank you, I am going to get my levels checked this week, will let you know.Still no period though. My dh doesn't think I am. We only had sex once or twice then, and he half pulled out, so he thinks its from before (the miscarriage)....I am trying not to stress, but I am a worrywart!

I hope everything turns out OK. Let us know what your doctor says. It's definitely possible that you're PG. Did you have your hcg levels done after your loss? Just wondering if you had gotten down around zero. KUP! You're in my thoughts and prayers

Hi, popping in, I'm a grad from this board. What you're describing happened to me, and yes, I got pregnant again exactly 2 weeks to the day from my m/c. We only had sex ONE TIME, and the thought sure never dawned on me that it would happen again so soon. Anyway, I now have a very happy, very healthy little boy, so I wanted to give you some hope that just because you may be pregnant again so soon, it doesn't mean you'll have another loss. I hope you get good news this week!

Thank you Lauren, you just gave me some hope! We only had sex once too...my DH thinks I am crazy, but I feel that I am. Midwife also thinks I am not, but is going to test my hcg levels a few days apart.
I took another test today (week apart from the last one), and it was positive as well, the pregnancy line formed right away, before the test line. I miscarried mid-December, so you'd think hcg would be gone by now. I am just beginning to feel like a nutcase because everyone else (including midwife) says it is not likely possible to conceive two weeks after miscarrying.

Did you have a natural miscarriage. If so it is very possible that you body went right back to normal again. Even with a D\c that I had in Septmeber my HcG went back to normal with a couple weeks. I got pregnant right away after a miscarriage. So if you are taking tests that are showing a positive then there is a great chance you are pregnant !!!!! I realy hope so. So do not listen to them. You know what feels right

I am praying that you are pregnant . Keep us updated !!

Oh yeah like Lauren said We only had sex one time around what could of been my ovulation time

No, I never saw a BFN, never checked it. I had a natural miscarriage at around 6 weeks. I know I miscarried because I had my hcg checked a few days apart, and it was low, and dropping. I never had an us.
I keep trying to get ahold of my midwife and can't yet. I feel like I'm in limbo. I just lost this last pregnancy a month ago, and I am afraid to get my hopes up if I'm not pregnant. I am also afraid of miscarrying again if I am, seeing that it is sooo soon after my last mc.
