Ok, so I'm waiting for AF to show up or POAS in a couple of days to see if I get my BFP. I was told I have a tilted uterus and if I want to get pregnant, it would be best if DH and I DTD "doggie style." But I was reading in a post where the gal said she felt inside herself and felt her cervix and thought she might have missed her BFP (sorry, can't remember who posted it ) cuz there was a little bit of blood. What does the cervix feel like? Is it deep inside (where almost all your finger is gone)? If so, mine was tight and closed....i dunno what that means. I didn't ask a lot about my body with my OB when I was pregnant with Roman, I was more concerned about him and all that was going on with him.
Sorry if this is TMI for some of you but I figure if I'm TTC I should ask and not feel stupid for asking.
Thanks in advance!

First of all, I highly recommend reading "taking charge of your fertility", it talks about ALL this TMI stuff!

Second, your cervical position will change during your cycle, that's why people monitor it. Before and after ovulation it will be firmer, lower, and closed......close to ovulation it will be (SHOW) Soft, High, Open, Wet. I found it most helpful to know what I was feeling from a picture in the book of what a cervix looks like (or look one up online).

if you've never felt it before your cervix is the easiest to feel when you've got AF. Since you have a tilited uterus you may feel it posterior (towards your spine, not towards your tummy), and it will usually feel like a bump or num, sometimes with a small slit or whole in the top most part of the bump. It can be firm or soft, and once you find it a few times it'll get easier. Sitting on the toilot or squatting can also help you be able to reach it.

You should also check at the same time every day as it can change throughout the day.

i also read somewhere, that if you have a tilted uterus you should lie on your tummy after BDing. I don't know how good of info that is, but it made sense to me when you think about it.

I can't describe the way the cervix feels..it's almost like an peeled orange. Grosss!!!! I usually check mine when AF is on her way to see if I have pink mixed in with my CM. It warns me so I know to expect her. I hope you're able to find it!

On the doctors they described it as the hole in a fresh bagel (not the bagged one). I can see the similarities though and it's kinda what it feels like. My uterus is tilted and it didn't actually fix itself until 12 weeks with our angel. It is just very hard to explain, once you feel it once you will get the hang of it.

Good luck!
