I have a few questions, hopefully someone can help me out. I had a miscarriage on Dec 15 (first preg/first m/c). my first AF showed up on Jan 13 and was 3 days. which makes today cd9. i went out and bought the answer opk 20 strips test and have been using them in the morning since sunday. this morning i noticed that the test line is getting slightly darker than the previous day but not darker than the control line. I have a BBT, but havent been taken my temp religiously. i take it when i remember last week my temps stayed around 97.69 -97.71 and this morning my temp was 97.15 (i took it after i noticed the opk line getting darker), does this temp drop possibly mean that I may be Oing soon? According to my FF calendar on my ipod it says my fertile days are the 22-26 with the 26 being the big day. I have also notice the past 2 days it feels like ive wet myself (but again thats something im not to familiar with when it comes to all this stuff)

Ever since the m/c i feel like ive let my boyfriend down (he didnt take it to well) Monday night was the first night he actually talked to me about it and he thoguth the m/c was due to me stressing out over work and other things. All i want now is to be able to give him his baby.

by the way my name is Kristen. Im not much of a poster but i do lurk the forums.

thanks

First off welcome Kristen! And the m/c was not your fault! It happens, as those of us here know way to often. Stressing does not cause m/c, there are studies all over the place that kill that theory. Just like stress does not cause infertility, but infertility causes stress!

The answer tests tend to give long positive periods. I would trust FF and when the O line is darker. Just relax, and have fun with

btw, early m/c's are many times caused by chromosonal problems which can be from the male side.

Hi Kristen!

I use Answer opks too. I have to tell you, they are pretty sensitive. Last month I had 7 days of positive opks! I thought something was wrong. Someone suggested I try another brand and it was neg. What I suggest is that as soon as it looks like its almost positive, get another brand and test with it (the same day) I just did that over the past few days and my results were much more accurate.

In terms of temping? I'm no help. I'm still learning how to do that! My chart looks crazy most of the time because I wake during the night, sleep with my mouth open, etc...

Your boyfriend is wrong to say that stress caused your m/c. Please don't let him let you think it was at all your fault. If stress were the cause of m/c, not very many babies would be born in the world.

hope that helps

thanks!

I tried to explain the m/c thing to him the other night. i had a blighted ovum i think is what its called.

i have the snaswer strips and i also have the first response 7 day kit. i was going to start those when the answers show positives. or this coming sunday which ever is sooner!

hopefully what they say about being more fertile after m/c is true. I hope this month is lucky.

Hi Kristen,

First off, you didn't cause your miscarriage! When I miscarried, my husband never really wanted to talk about it either. I think guys just have different ways of dealing with it....Try not to worry too much about getting pregnant, just have fun with it. When its meant to be it will happen.

Your miscarriage was definitely not caused by stress! I thought the same thing myself when I freaked about the baby's heart and all.

This past cycle was the first time I used Answer OPK 20 strips and it was actually the first time I seen a positive OPK and they worked great.

It's been 2 months for us and we still haven't talked about it. We just dealt with it individually and I don't think my DH was ever affected by it, because he was so happy when he found out his brother's girlfriend was pregnant and due in March.

My name is Kristen too and if you need to talk to any feel free to PM me!
