Hi yall, I am done lurking and ready to join now. I recently had my second miscarriage on Jan 8th at 7 weeks. My pregnancy was a happy accident. I have a 5 year old son, and have been with my boyfriend for a year and a half. I usually avoided pregnancy through the withdrawal method during the "unsafe" times of my cycle, and didnt avoid during the "safe" time. Since I went through infertility issues after my first pregnancy (which sadly ended in m/c after 6 weeks) I conceived my son through the use of clomid.

This time our BFP was a result of a fun night out (and too much wine) and forgetting that it wasnt a "safe" time in my cycle. I even considered the morning after pill...but didnt really think it was likely I would need it. While it was unplanned, I definitely fell in love with my little bean. We had 3 U/S, and I saw the little heartbeat just a day before losing the baby. Even though I had been through it before years ago, it didnt make it any easier.

Now, I just really want to be pregnant again. Its funny how I could go from avoiding to desperate to be pregnant in a span of 3 months. A girl at work is due 3 days before I would have been, so I get to watch her go through every stage of pregnancy that I am missing out on. I am so jealous and I feel really bad about it since she is one of the kindest people I know. One of my closest friends is due in April...which is a constant reminder of my unpregnant state.

Anyways...I am on CD17 and still have a BFP when I POAS. So I know I still have a while to go this cycle. And I am not waiting for AF this time. Since it took 7 months for me to conceive my son after M/C, I am not risking that. It was the hardest 7 months of my life.

Sticky baby dust to us all!

Melissa

Welcome Melissa!

I'm sorry for both of your losses You've found a great group of women here - I've gotten tremendous support from them after my m/c in Oct, and I'm sure you will as well!

I wish you the very best luck as you start TTC again - hopefully you'll get your BFP quickly!

Welcome. I'm sorry for your losses. I'm Jennifer (26) and my DF and I are TTC our first. I had a miscarriage in December and am waiting on AF to show before we actively start TTC. I look forward to getting to know you and I hope you get your sticky BFP soon.

Hey! And welcome to the group, sorry for your loss.
Did you say you are still testing BFP? Has your doctor checked to see if your levels are falling?
I hope you have a healthy pregnancy soon!

Hello. Welcome to the board. You will love it here. I also think it is strange that you are still coming up bfp. What was the date of your loss??? I hope your ttc journey is short and sweet. Good luck. Oh, by the way, I am Heather (30) and df is Nelson (42). Welcome.

Thanks yall for the warm welcome. It sure does help to have others who understand the emotions involved.

My recent loss was 1/8/09. So here I am 19 days later and still get a faint line with purple equate test late in the day. My doc didnt seem all to concerned with tracing my hcg back down to zero (my U/S showed an empty uterus after my loss). So, I am doing it myself. I was using FRER with FMU, but the dark line was depressing me so I switched. The lines are getting progressively lighter...so I guess its just a matter of time. I just want a BFN so I can start wanting a BFP again!
