What is the difference between a road and a street?

The terms may frequently apply to exactly the same thing. However, 'road' is a general term, whereas 'street' is narrower in sense and chiefly urban in application: a street typically has buildings on either side, and is paved or metalled.

I too am curious where you come up with this? I'm guessing you have an interesting fact a day calendar? If not, can we give you topics to research?

No, I don't have a fact of the day calender. I actually print out my own yearly calenders and they are boring squares on yellow printer paper. I just come up with a question and do some research on it.....plain n simple! Sure I'll do Requests!! Just PM me with them and I'll do my best for you!

Oh and a Boulevard is:
Usually a wide, multi-lane arterial thoroughfare, divided with a median down the center, and "roads" along each side designed as slow travel and parking lanes and for bicycle and pedestrian usage, often with an above-average quality of landscaping and scenery. The division into peripheral roads for local use and a central main thoroughfare for regional traffic is a principal feature of the boulevard. Larger and busier boulevards usually feature a median.

Heather, does your boulevard contain a median?
