Hi there girls, I had a question about the SMEP. I had a m/c in October and just recently read about this plan. We are putting it into effect this cycle, but I thought I would ask if anyone has tried it/had success with it...Its certainly a BD commitment! LOL.

From what I read, it is often used after a miscarriage and yes, it is BD'ing...and lots of it...but it goes like this. Begin Bding on CD8 and continue every other day. Begin OPK on CD10. When you get a +OPK, BD for 3 nights in a row, one night off, and then a 4th night for good measure. Whew!! We're giving it a shot. Last cycle we BD'd 7 days in a row and I thought we had it in the bag...(sorry TMI) but no luck. I had never heard of it until two days ago. Thought it was worth a try...

Well it certainly can't hurt! We've pretty much tried it all: BD every other day, BD every day, BD every other day and again with a + OPK, etc.... I'm sure we'll get our BFP one day.

Sounds like a good enough idea. Since I will be on CD8 tomorrow, maybe I will give it a shot too! Couldn't hurt, right!? Let us know how it turns out. Good luck!

Definitely give it a try. You can ask about it over on the TTC board. There have been TONS of girls get their BFP's the month they follow that plan. If we were actively TTC I would try it.

I've never heard of it. But I wonder why it's used after miscarriage?

Regardless to what you try....good luck!!

Here's a link to the info on it. It's actually just for anyone trying to get pregnant and having a difficult time.....not just for after a loss.
