Ok so they told me not to take a bath the D&C was a little over a week ago. Is it safe to take a bath yet LOL. I just wanna lay down and relax in a nice warm bath. Also after your bleeding stopped did you have a lot of EW looking CM? I'm worried that i have an infection, i'm always so paranoid about everything. If anyone can help with some what to expect after having it that would be great!

I took baths immediately following my surgery. I normally take a bath everynight and I really needed the relaxaton that it provided me. I can't see any reason you couldn't take a bath now unless you had complications. FYI- I did check my cervix and it was pretty tightly closed.

They just said not to take one but not for how long lol. My D&C was pretty smooth, just had some spotting off and on for the week after and no cramping.

I honestly can't remember much of what I was told to do or not to do or what my body did afterwards. I should of paid more attention, but.......well you know how it is.

I know... the nurses gave me SO much information about what I should and shouldn't do after a my D&C and when I got home, I remembered NOTHING.... My head was in a different world. Fortunately my hubby was listening!

I didn't have a d&c but was told when I stopped bleeding it meant that my cervix was closed and gave me permission for sex and baths.

I went looking, since I didn't have a D&C and found this for you:

After the surgery:

Some cramping or mild abdominal discomfort is considered usual after a D&C, consult the doctor if the pain is severe.

Medications should be taken as per the prescription of the doctor.

Ensure to take the entire course of antibiotic.

Refrain from the use of internal tampons and sexual intercourse for about a week or as advised by your doctor.

Use sanitary napkins during this time period.

If there are any signs of infection such as fever, pain or discharge consult the doctor immediately.
