Hi there,

I'm mostly a lurker but I really need some input here! I had a D&C for m/c on 9/24/08. It took 7 weeks for AF to return, and I'm on my third cycle TTC since the m/c. My first cycle back was normal. Last cycle was very bizarre, although I ovulated on my normal day (CD17), I ended up with a 6 day (!) luteal period, when I've never had a short cycle in my life! This cycle we did a sort of modified sperm-meets-egg plan and I was feeling pretty optimistic until this morning (CD 26, DPO 9) when my temp went from 98.1 to 97.4. I was crushed, and immediately starting doing some research about short luteal phase.

I actually called my midwife's office, who ended up transferring me to the triage nurse for the REI section. She recommended I take a pregnancy test just in case, and made me an appointment to be evaluated. So I went to the pharmacy, got a pregnancy test, and took it just now with random urine. And it is the faintest possible positive but I'm pretty sure it's a BFP! So now I'm wondering...is this just an implantation dip? It seems late in the cycle, and a really really big dip! Has anyone else had this happen to them and ended up pregnant?

I'm planning to take another test in the AM with FMU, and probably also to get a beta done if I can. So confused!

First, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss!!! Welcome to TTCAL!

Second, woooohooo for your *faint* !!! That's wonderful to hear!!!

Your temp dip could very well be an implantation dip!!!! Do you have the link to your chart? Post it!

Actually I believe 9dpo is the most common day for a dip! It sounds like a BFP!

Thanks so much ladies! I'm trying not to get too excited about it yet, it's still really early and of course I'm terrified by the thought of another loss.

How do I make a link to my chart? The address in the bar at the top of the screen just links to FF...

Thanks for all your support ladies. I was on call last night so only slept from 12am-3:30am, but at 3:30am my temp had come back up to 98.3! And I tested with FMU and had a definite stronger positive test! I've never found out about being pregnant so early, I'm still only DPO 10!

Do you think that having an implantation dip makes it less likely to have a chemical pregnancy? Just wondering...

Thanks again. I hope everyone gets their BFP really soon!
