First period after D&C

So I had my D&C on Jan 3 at 10 wks. I have not had a period yet, and we have been ttc this month before AF. For a couple of days though I have had a lot of cramping, it's not bad cramps, but hey are frequent. I don't know if I should expect AF soon, or if I could be pregnant, I had a negative test yesterday. I feel exactly like I do when I am pregnant except that my boobs aren't sore. My boobs usually start hurting shortly after O, so I don't know if I even ovulated yet. Although the sore boob thing after o only started after my last M/C, not in any of my cycles beforehand, so I don't know if maybe with this M/C my body returned to it's old ways.... Sorry if this makes no sense...

Anyone who has had a D&C, what was your first period like? Did you have a lot of cramping BEFORE AF?

I don't tend to get many cramps during a normal AF, only for a few hours on CD1. My AF after my D&C was pretty similar, although CD2 was heavy and I normally mark it medium, and it lasted a day longer than normal.

Sorry for your loss. My first period came at 35 days I think after my D&E it was normal ,bu my 2nd period was very heavy and I had really bad cramps. I normally do not get to bad of cramps ..

I'm sorry for your loss. I had a D&C on Dec. 30th after 10ish weeks too.

I've been tracking my temps, and I just O'd around day 35 after the procedure... I had my typical ovulation cramps and nipple tenderness but it seemed to take a long time of gearing up before I finally O'd. This horrible waiting game makes the whole loss even harder to deal with...

So now I'm waiting for AF and I'm about 7 dpo. I'm still crampy and nipples are still tender, which is unusual for me.... so yeah I'm expecting AF to be different this time around. I personally can't trust what my body is telling me right now but tracking my temp helped me know I definitely released an egg. I was waiting to TTC till after AF arrives... so only one more week!

i had a d&c at 9 weeks in september. it was september 4th and i got my next period october 17th and it was so heavy it was literally pouring out (sorry if tmi) i had to rest that weekend and then it slowy moved to a normal AF and the 1 after that was bad too but now they are normal. i didnt have really bad cramps just a heavy flow. hope this helps
