Hi Ladies!

I thought I would join this group, as I'm TTC after a loss 6 weeks ago. I still haven't started my 1st cycle yet, so I really hope it will hurry up!!! The Dr. says wait 2 cycles, but if it happened after 1 that would be ok. I pray that when it does happen and we do get a positive that it will stick.

im sorry for your loss - we just lost ours a week ago to the date - its been hard but we pray each day and accept gods love and his plan for us! its been probably one of the hardest things i had to face - but this group has been wonderful and you will be glad you join as they are great to talk to !!!

i say extra prays for you that you get your AF so you can get that BFP!!!!!!

My name is Michelle, DH is Brad. We're TTC #2 after our 1st child, Roman, passed away a week after birth due to several problems. The women here on this board have been a life line for me after we decided to TTC again.
Jump in feet first and know that anything you ask isn't a "stupid question," as I didn't know what a lot of the short terms used were. I asked what POAS meant the first time I saw it used and now know that it's Pee on a Stick I was re-assured that it wasn't a dumb question and welcomed here with warm open arms.

Welcome! I'm sorry to hear of your loss...but you're very welcome to join us in the completely insane world of TTC I hope you like to POAS (pee on a stick) 'cause we're big pushers when it comes to testing (OPKs, HPTs)!

I'm Lara & DH (Matt) and I are in cycle 2 of TTC #1 after our loss in October.

I've only just figured out some of the TTC terms, but these are ones you'll see all the time:

2ww - 2 week wait, the period of time after ovulation but before you can take pregnancy test
BD or DTD - baby dancin/doing the deed
CD# - cycle day #
CM - cervical mucus
CH - cross hairs (term for Fertility Friend chart establishing the day you ovulated)
Charting - recording temps/CM/CP to figure out ovulation (and to allow us to obsess in 2ww)
CP - cervical position
DPO# - days post/past ovulation
FF - Fertility Friend (a charting website)
HPT - home pregnancy test
O - ovulation
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
POAS - pee on a stick

Somewhere there's probably a post will a billion others, but these are the ones I use constantly...

So question for all -- How can you tell or know what your cervial postition is?
I haven't nailed the entire knowing of ovulations, except from taking my temps...so bare with me on questions and feel free to give all your advice :-)

I've only (barely) mastered temping and recording CM - haven't braved figuring out CP yet....BUT I know several of the women on here do, and hopefully can give you the details on how to do that...
