Before my D&E they did an amnio to see if they could see why we lost the baby, they also went ahead and ran DH's blood as well as mine. Everything came back absolutely normal. EVERYTHING, including baby. It was a little girl.

I was soo sure it was a boy. Finding out it was a girl made it harder for some reason, I guess my mind had been made up about everything and things changing made it raw again. Not having ANY answers sucks. The good news is that my Dr gave us the go ahead to start trying again immediately. She said there was no definite answer as when people can start trying again even after the procedure and that it was fine if we we're ready. We're ready!

Sue I'm sorry With a number of the ladies here finding out the gender, it's made me think about whether I would have wanted to know with my loss...I too thought I was having a boy, but it somehow makes it seem even more *real* when you know for sure. BIG HUGS to you today!

I'm glad you got the all clear to TTC whenever you're ready...I hope you get a BFP really quickly!

We didn't have any testing done after our loss. I'm glad that everything came back normal for you - at least you know that it's not likely to occur again.

Congratulations on getting the go ahead to TTC again. I hope you get your quickly!

Congratulations on being able to TTC right away! And, it's great to hear that you and DH are ready to try again! Knowing that there was nothing wrong, and that your were going to have a little girl, is probably very hard. I'm sorry! But, knowing that there is nothing physical keeping you from getting your little miracle is great! I hope you get your sticky bean really soon.! thinking of you

We didn't do any testing with either of my losses. Personally, I think it's best to find out there's nothing wrong, but that's just me. Wishing you the best in your TTC journey.

We too didn't have any testing, not sure if I could handle what the gender was.

I am sorry for the loss of your little girl.
I also wonder if it is harder knowing what went wrong or not having the answers.
With Kai, we knew what was wrong the minute he was born, tests later confirmed it.
It made me question everything I did that pregnancy and if I could have changed anything,

I'm so sorry, it has to be tough knowing there was nothing wrong, but also a relief that hopefully your next little bean will stick AND be healthy!

I hope you get your BFP soon!

Sue, I'm so sorry about your little girl

After reading a few of the experiences on this forum with learning the baby's gender after they were gone, I'm a little apprehensive about getting a call or learning at my followup appointment. I had a feeling that baby was a girl, but finding out for sure is just going to hit really hard again.

Wishing you all the best with TTC!

I am so sorry you lost your daughter. MY pathology report also showed that there was nothing wrong with me or the baby. That was very hard for me to process- I remember thinking 'if nothing is wrong then why did my baby die?' I was 17 weeks and it just didn't make sense to me. I am sooo sorry you are having to live throught this. This board is such a great place to find women who understand!!! Good luck TTC- I HAD to start TTC right away for my own mental sanity. I just couldn't wait.

I am so sorry for the loss of your little girl

Just last week I read a post that, they had found out the gender. It had not even crossed my mind that I would find out what it would have been. I have my follow up apt on Thurs. DH dosn't want to know. I don;t know If I do or not. But I know I will look the results up. I work in the hospital that I had me D/E done at, I already looked up the reports for that. So I think I will just find out from the Dr. and DH can step out of the room if he dosen't want to know. Not knowing will drive me insane.

I think I would like to say my son or daughter. Just not my baby. And giving the baby a name, it deserves that.
