So I've been reading different articles about how you should wait 2 months before ttc after a loss. What are your thoughts on waiting? Just curious what everyone else thinks.

I was told 2 cycles, but if it happened afte 1 that's ok. I still havne't had my 1st cycle, but I know it's coming this week. I've know ladies on JM that have concieved 8 days to a month after m/cing and they had full term pregnancies. What did your Dr. suggest? I think it depends on when you're ready, but maybe wait for 1 cycle.

I'm meeting with the doctor on Tuesday to find out. I'm hoping he'll say I'm ok to start trying again.

My Dr told us to wait 2 weeks after my follow up from my D&E because I was dialated for the procedure and wanted to make sure I closed up all the way, but that after that we could start. She said there was no real rule as to when you can start TTC again, that most Dr will tell you to wait for emotional reasons more than anything else.

I hope that your Dr tells you that you can start trying right away. I hope and pray that you get pregnant soon.

It really is for emotional reasons. As long as your body is ready to ovulate, it is ready to get pg again. I Oed only 2 weeks after my m/c and we happened to BD around then, not thinking it would be so soon, so I was kind of hopeful. I just started my second cycle. DH and I started trying again right away since I felt fine physically and emotionally.

My midwife gave me the all clear as soon as AF showed up- of course I didn't need her permission- I was already trying!! I have done my own research and can't find any medical reason to wait. I say go for it!!!

First of all...I'm so sorry to see you here
I was told after my D&C at 10 weeks we could try as soon as AF came. We never really had the "talk" after my 2nd loss, but it was natural and at 6 weeks, and my body got right back on schedule...so we tried once AF came (but were unsucessful). So right now we're on the 2nd cycle after the loss.

Welcome to the board
I agree with the other ladies, you'll know when you're ready to try! I wasn't told to wait, but I did, based on personal perference.

I was told we could try again as soon as we wanted. My doctor said "waiting" was only for dating purposes, because there is no medical proof that not waiting can cause any harm.
