I'm posting from work 'cause I needed to tell my girls.
Jason got laid off this morning. We're both in shock. We will do some number crunching and belt tightening for a while. Most likely our TTC efforts will be on hold until he finds something else.

Well that is just a terrible situation. However, take it from someone who has been laid off twice in 5 years from the same company (no not bragging, haha)...I truly believe that it was meant to be that way for me and it's led me to where I am now, which is a better place financially and emotionally. Hang in there!! HUGS!

Oh, Kimberley...I am so sorry. I must have missed this post when I logged on. Was there any advance notice? I feel so bad for you guys. I really hope that he finds something good soon. I'll say some extra prayers for you both! You know we're here if you need us  Lots of hugs!

I am so sorry. I hope that he finds something soon. My DF got laid off back in December and this month they brought him back in a better position with a higher salary, in addition to carrying over his service time, etc. I hope that your husband finds himself in a similar situation. I will keep you guys in my T&P's.

Thank you all for your hugs, prayers and kind words. We're both a little shocked. He had no warning. But, he got his profit sharing and 4 weeks severance. I'm also making him apply for EI (Employment Insurance). We'll be okay financially for a while. Jason doesn't want to put off TTC'ing.
Hopefully he'll find something fast and with better insurance!

oh my goodness Kimberley, how terrible! Glad he doesn't want to put of TTC, but I hope he's able to find another job quickly...what an awful thing to be surprised with
