hi ladies, i have a few questions i was hoping someone might be able to help me with...
I'm almost 10 weeks pregnant and at 8 weeks they couldn't find the babies h/b via transvag u/s. so they told me to come back in 2 wks for a recheck, but i was most likely m/cing. today i started spotting brown. it's getting a bit worse, but only when i wipe. i'm assuming this is the beginning of the m/c.
with my last m/c, I had to have a D&C cause my body wasn't doing it naturally. i'm pleased my body is doing it this time. i don't want another D&C...
My question is did anybody have a similar situation? and if so, how long did the process take for your body to m/c. how long after your natural m/c did you wait till you TTC again?
Thanks for taking the time to answer. i can't believe i'm going through this again...

I'm sooo sorry Lynda. I hope you really aren't having a m/c. When is your next u/s??
My experience was at 9 weeks I was standing outside on a balcony on the phone and I felt like I peed a little. (Sorry tmi) When I went into the bathroom I had a little bit of brown blood on my underwear. And after that I had nothing but a little brown when I wiped. I went to the E.R. the next day and found out we had lost the heartbeat. I personally never started bleeding. But I didn't wait but two days before we had the d and c. I just wanted to be done. I was so heartbroken. So I didn't question the dr. about it at all.
Again I hope you are just having normal spotting and your little one will surprise you at your next u/s.

I am so sorry
I'm going through my first m/c right now. I've been spotting for about 5 days now, like how you described it though, only when I wipe. I go in tomorrow to talk with the Doctor and to get another ultrasound. I'm hoping they tell me I can try again this cycle.

Lynda,
I am so sorry.
I have had 2 natural miscarriages, I started spotting and then the next day I started getting SEVERE cramps.
THe bleeding got worse and I passed tissue. The cramps and heavy bleeding continued for about 4 hours and then I just had a reg. period.
This is only, how its been for me, but I hope it helps.

I barely spotted for about 3 days before bleeding for about a week, then spotting again for a few more days. My body got back to normal very quickly and I actually Oed just a couple of weeks after the bleeding stopped, so we started trying again right away. I'm so sorry you are going through this again!
ETA: Here is my chart of the m/c bleeding and my Oing after. My chart

Oh Lynda...my heart breaks for you that you have to go through this again...When is your next u/s??? If this truly is a m/c, then it shouldn't be long. If your body is doing what it needs to and your hormones are dropping correctly, you shouldnt have to wait more than a few days. But, that being said, I will let you know that my body didn't respond quite as quickly. We figured we lost the h/b between 6 and 7 weeks. I finally m/c'd at about 10 weeks. Had I gone a few more days the doc would have intervened. This scenario is pretty rare. I hope things turn out OK. Take care and let me know if you need anything... LOTS of hugs and prayers. Did they check your hcg???

Lynda, first I am so sorry you are going through this again I can't say the right words to tell you how sorry I am. I went through a similar situation as you are going through right now. At almost 8 weeks no heartbeat. I chose to miscarry naturally. It took almost 3 weeks. This is kind of graphic sorry. I woke up to a wetness of brown mucousy blood at about 4 in the morning. At about 10 that morning the spotting turned to red. I passed 2-3 clots throughout the day with very light red blood. Not much blood at all. At about 5 the next morning I had cramps. They were contractions every 3-5 minutes. At around 7 I passed the amniotic sac. It was not small, about the size of my palm. About an hour later I was still having contractions so I sat on the toilet and pushed. I passed what I believe to be the placenta. After that there was no pain or cramping. I bled for about a week after and ovulated about 2 weeks later. I charted for the month and tried after the first af. As you know I got my bfp less than 3 months later. If you want to ask me anything feel free to pm me. I am here for you.

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I started spotting and then over a day or two it got much heavier. I had about 5-6 hours of really bad cramps and heavy bleeding, much worse than AF. Then I had a few days of AF like bleeding and crampy, followed by some spotting. It was about a week total. I wasn't charting at the time but I had my miscarriage on Dec. 27 and my first cycle post-m/c started on February 6th. I O'd right on schedule this cycle and we have started TTC right after my first period post-m/c.
I pray that you will see a healthy heartbeat when you go back for your ultrasound.

Aww Lynda, I'm so sorry *HUGS*
I had a D&C, but my body started miscarrying at 12 weeks (baby died at 9). I had been having cramps for 5 days, and then on Friday, I started spotting brown. Throughout the day, it seemed to get heavier when I drank a lot of water (maybe my imagination?), and I started noticing a pink tinge to it. Then at 10 pm, I started bleeding bright red. We rushed to the ER, and at first, it was a really heavy flow. Then for the 24 hours that we were in the hospital, it mostly alternated between medium to light spotting and sometimes the spotting went back to brown.
The triage nurse told me that the bleeding was probably softening my cervix to allow the miscarriage to progress. I'll never know.
I'll be thinking of you and your family. *HUGS*

Lynda I am so sorry I had a D/E so I can't help on this one. But I wanted to let you know I was thinking about, I know how hard this is.. We were both in the same DDC. I hate seeing any one come from our DDC.

Lynda, I have nothing to say except you are in my thoughts. I hate that you have to go through this. I hope the best scenario presents itself.

Lynda, I'm so sorry you are going through this again!!!
All of my losses were a little different, and the last one I had a D&C with because I just wanted it to be over. A natural m/c can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks to be done with the bleeding and spotting (obviously sometimes longer too). I always had cramping that lasted for a few days only, and that usually started after some spotting or bleeding was already present. If it's happening, I would assume that this brown spotting could be the start of it, and it will gradually become heavier.
I hope hope hope that you are not m/c though!!

I'm really sorry to hear this. I remember you from the Sept DDC. I started spotting about 5 days before the bleeding got heavier. I went in for an ultrasound 2 days after the spotting started, there was no heartbeat and the embryo was only 6weeks5days (I should have been 10 weeks). I guess my body didnt recognize that the pregnancy wasnt viable until over 3 weeks later. I completely m/c on my own. I really hope that everything turns out fine and that this is just a false alarm.
