I need your help.. They say LDH Surges in the afternoon between 12-8 correct? Well here is my question, and I need opinions too. I work night shift. So will my LDH still surge when ovulating between the hours of 12pm and 8pm. I know my circadian rhythm is off, Will that throw off my surges? I thought I might of been ovulating the last two days, I was having the kind of right side "pang" that I get. I just got my O' tests yesterday and I tested at about 5pm (After I slept all day from working) So it was almost like my FMU. I screwed it up I think by going above the max line. I looked a little light. On the test side so I think it was neg, but not too sure. What do you think? When would you test? My usual sleeping is from 8am-3pm (yesterday slept till 4:45) But only on the days I work...HELP?! Thanks for the input!

Just guessing here, but I would test later in the evening. FMU can throw the tests off. Good luck!

Your surge will not come between certain hours of the day, it'll come usually 12 - 36 hours following ovulation.

Hope this helps!

Then why do they tell not to use your FMU and to test later in the day? I am so confused when I should test. And when my FMU would be?

I think because say you ovulate at night, the next morning might not have enough hormone to be detected. I hope that makes sense.

most places say you should use OPKs later in the day. like someone who works a day shift should test after dinner or when they get home. Hope that helps!
