Adventures of POAS -update post #13

So I haven't seen AF since our miscarriage a month ago, but we have been BDing, so I got the urge to POAS this morning, well being excited, nervous and a rookie, I actually PO THE stick, I either made the test unreadable or there wasn't enough on it, I don't know, but nothing happened, the control line did not even show.

Anyway I could not let this rest, even though it's not morning, I tried again this afternoon and there is the faintest line, so am I seeing a faint line, or just the shadow from the line that would have come through if I WAS pregnant?

You don't have to answer that, it's a hypothetical question, so here is my test. I'll try again tomorrow, first thing in the morning. I don't know if I should get excited so I am feeling a bit indifferent until the line shows up better.

Well I went out and bought a FRER today, i tried to rationalize with myself to wait until the morning, but this was the test I just took after 3 minutes

And of course I am going to POAS tomorrow too

I am happily shocked at the moment! And I just paid for a annual membership to FF this morning too

It's got color so I'd say it's a line. I would get a FRER though, I don't trust the blue dye tests

Yep I agree! I just bought some cheapies for my POAS pleasure!
Also in my stash are some fact plus tests, I have never used those either. I bought a bunch when they were on sale.

Also, how far along were you when you miscarried? I would just want to make sure it's not leftover hcg from your loss

I was going to ask you ladies that too.

I was 6 1/2 weeks when we miscarried and that was a month ago. One of the reasons I knew I was having a miscarriage is my HGC level dropped significantly, of course an HCG over 5 will show you are pregnant, I think.

I did have a D&C so I don't know if that makes your HCG drop faster or not.

Hmmmm, like I said I am indifferent about it at the moment, I'm going to reserve excitement for the time being.

OK...there is DEFINITELY a line there. My bfp was a LOT lighter than that! I understand your reservations about getting excited, but, yes that's a positive test. And, it wasn't even FMU! I hope you feel better about it in the morning, but, I'm excited for you!!!

I see color too! Most of those test won't pick up HCG till it's closer to 20, so if you did drop all the way to 5 or less this should be all new!!
Can't wait to see tomorrows test!

I definitely see it but I don't trust blue dye tests. I say test in the morning with a FRER!

I'm the worst at reading these, but I see something so I can't WAIT for you to test AGAIN!!!!

It looks like a to me! Re-test today using FRER. I hate blue dye!!!!

I hate blue dye tests now too, who knew?!

So I took a fact plus this morning and it's negative, after 5 minutes or so there is a very faint line. I don't think it's a BFP because the other 2 times I have been pregnant the line shows up immediately.

Just for kicks, I will buy a FRER today and maybe a digital for future use. I'll keep you ladies posted, but I feel like this isn't the BFP I was hoping for, it's soon after my miscarriage though, maybe next month!

How many DPO do you think you are? maybe it's still just too early.

And those stupid blue tests should be taken off the market.

If you're very early it can take 5-10 minutes to show up. As long as you're reading the test within 10 minutes it's considered valid.

If there is a line and it has color and you read it in the time window (10 minutes usually) and it's not a blue test dye. (I just had a false positive with one.) I say you are pregnant!!! Let's see pics of the frer!! W/ Wyatt I tested at 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, days post ovulation and started getting extremely faint line at 9 days and finally on 14 dpo I had a + Digi!!! Good luck!

I don't know my DPO since I haven't had AF since my D&C.

I will buy a FRER today and test tomorrow.
