I went and had my last beta drawn last Wednesday. The nurse said they would call me on Thursday with my results. On Thursday my bleeding really picked up and I knew what the results were going to be.

Do you know they never called me back until today. Today the nurse called and said that my beta on Wednesday was down to a 3 which is negative by their standards and as long I bled like I would with a normal period then I'm fine and no follow up is needed. She said I should wait 1 cycle and then we can TTC again.

I'm aggravated. Even though I knew what the results were I still think they should have called sooner. Dh is confused. He doesn't get how I could have been pregnant and now I'm just not anymore.

He wants to try again this month, this cycle.

Should we really wait?

First, I might look for a new Dr or at least complain. That is not okay at all. And there really is no reason to wait to TTC. They usually tell you to for emotional purposes, not physical. Do you chart or use OPKs or anything to track your cycle?

I can't believe your doctors office would wait so long. I would definitely complain and/or find a new doctor. DF and I waited until after my first AF before we started actively TTC. I'm sorry for your loss. (((HUGS)))

I don't like the way your doctor's office handled that either!

However, I think you should wait for AF. Just for dating purposes. Plus, if you're still feeling the emotional bit of the miscarriage, getting pregnant again will make it harder, I think. Pregnancy right after a miscarriage can cause un-needed stress on you, and you don't want that.

I don't know, it's just my opinion.

Waiting is up to you. It's true that for dating purposes, waiting for AF makes it easier, but, once they do a good u/s they have a pretty good idea when you're due. For psychological reasons you have to determine when you are ready to TTC again. G/L and KUP

Ack, that is upsetting. I give everyone a "free pass" at screw ups like that, so if your doctors office treats you well otherwise you might just nicely mention how disappointed you were that they didn't call when they said they would.

As far as TTC, only you can decide that sweetie, good luck to you!
