Wishing Cam a happy birthday and sending lots of prayers your way. I know it must be difficult with each "1st time without Cam" event that occurs. I pray that God gives you peace and mercy.

Thanks so much gals.

We decided to celebrate Cameron's birthday with a celebration of his life. We met at a local wing place, Cameron's favorite restaurant. I extended an open invitation on the Caringbridge as well as my internal work email. I had not asked for RSVPs so I had no idea if anyone would be able to come on such short notice. People did come, we had approximately 40 people there for dinner: family, friends, & Cameron's friends from school & sports. Many other people just stopped by to say hello and have a drink with us. We literally ordered and ate hundreds of wings, including Cam's favorite sauce - Louisiana Hotter than Hot. I'm too much of a wimp for that. I stuck with plain barbeque. A portion of tonight's profits will be donated to the BMT Research Fund in Cameron's honor.

Our friends were very generous. We collected 25 Wii games & 5 PS2 games along with some cash for donation to the transplant unit of Children's Hospital. This morning there were a few more games on my desk & others asked how long I'd be collecting them. I plan to deliver them next week. I hope they can bring some smiles during those long weeks/months after transplant.

What an Awesome way to celebrate Cameron's life!!!! He would be so proud. I love that you collected donations in his honor, we do that for all of my children's birthdays. Instead of them recieving a ton of toys they don't need, we choose (at least the older ones choose for themselves) a charity. One year it was pet food for the animal shelter, another it was used women's and children's clothing for the battered women's shelter. Everyone invited to the party is asked to bring a donation instead of toys. I love opportunities to give and I think it is so wonderful that you did that in Cameron's name!!! Happy Birthday Cameron!!!

Lori...what a wonderful way to celebrate and remember Cameron! Glad you had so many family & friends to support you...wish we could all have been there with you too, but we were in spirit.
