It takes FOREVER to post something. When I post itll have a data error, then everytime I come back in I have to sign in .
I assume it'll be better once they have everything completed and no glitches!! Lets hope

if we can fix the double posting (which is driving me INSANE) I can live with the other format changes...just takes some getting used to
I'm not wild about the quick post feature...has anyone braved the "Go Advanced" button yet to see what it lets us do (i'm hoping the other emoticons are there?)

I just tried something and it worked- I posted a reply and hit "post Quick Reply" a little circle came up saying posting- after th circle went away I just hit the back button to get back to the boards and my post was there- a little easier than waiting.

I was a member of the parents.com message board back in 2004. Through the years they changed the format to "upgrade" the boards. Each time they did it, it got a little worse and the "upgrades" were never worth it.
Finally in like 2006 they changed the board again and by then we'd found that you could start a board through invision. One girl started a board for use while p.com was down. That time the changes they made were not making the members happy so you know what happened? They all left.
P.com literally crashed and burned. It was a large board, probably as large as JM and definitely more fast moving. Now, there are maybe 10 new posts a day.
The moral of the story is that IMO, when it comes to things like this, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
JM may find that if they try to change too much it will bite them in the *** like it did p.com

Add me to the 'hate the new board format' group. They took my user name and gave me my log in name, which is different. I took the opportunity to change it to something new, but still....very annoying.

I like it! It was a little slow this morning, but has been great so far. I haven't had the double posting thing happen to me (watch, it will this time!) but I have noticed a lot. I'm sure they'll fix that though! It'll take some getting used to, but I know I hated the new facebook when they changed it, and I love it now!

I'm thinking I will get used to it (and watch, probably love it) but so far the bugs are irking me too much...AND BRING BACK ALL OF OUR EMOTICONS - PLEASE!!!
One nice feature I only just noticed is that we get a checkmark on right hand side for posts we've responded to (yay one + for the new forum)
I have no idea how to fix all the weird msgs in my siggy now either...and is the PM function temporarily gone (or am i just missing it somewhere)?

Honestly ladies, I don't like it either. I'm using the 'quick reply' at the bottom of the post instead of the 'go advanced'...I'm sure the Mods are trying to work everything out as we speak. They said it could be up 2 weeks - a month before everything is back to normal.
