My church is holding a youth retreat and this is the first year that my stepson will be involved. All of the kids in the youth group meet at the church for worship and recreation, then split off into smaller groups for he whole weekend. They stay at church members houses in groups of 6-8 kids and are led by college students that are going into ministry. Well, WE are one of the host homes (we did volunteer)!!! Tonight I have 8 7th grade boys coming to spend the weekend, plus 2 college students (group leaders) in ADDITION to Me, DH, DD, DS and DSD!!! AHHHH!!! What have I gotten myself into??? I have to feed all of these people, take them back and forth to church and make sure they have everything they could possibly need. They are supposed to be bringing their own bath and hygeine products, but let's face it- they are 7th grade BOYS! We will probably be lucky if they all have clean underwear for the weekend!!! LOL I am kind of looking forward to it, but I am almost positive that I won't be getting a hot shower at all this weekend. The boys LOVE to take showers when they know they have to go back to the church~ there are girls there So if I am not on much you will know where I am at!! We hae to turn off all of the computers and televisions because the kids are supposed to be focused on their groups this weekend- I will have to sneek off to my bedroom and use DH's laptop

Gee, sounds like the house I grew up in! I have 7 brothers and one sister, currently ranging in age from 16-34 (my mom didn't give birth to the oldest). You shoudl see the house when we get together! Crazy! But it is so much fun! And casseroles are a money and life saver! You can make them when you have time, refrigerate them until you need them, then pop them in the oven! Oneo f our favorites was Tatertot casserole! Oh, yeah, and spaghetti!

My parents were always the 'cool parents'. All of the sleepovers were at our house. Shaghetti was a life saver. I only have a sister. I can only imagine that boys are easier. Have fun and let us know how it goes
