Some of you may have read my post about a funny cheapie test at 9DPO (I don't chart, so O day is just a guess based upon a 28 day cycle). Well, I had a tiny bit of spotting (a little bit of brown when I wiped) at about 13DPO. I tested with a FRER when I got home that day (because I am a POAS-aholic), but it was negative. I assumed AF would start the next day on schedule, but nothing. Now, iAF is two days late, and I am confused. If I was pregnant, it should have shown up on a FRER the day before AF was due, shouldn't it? I don't want to waste any more money on tests for nothing! What do you all think.

I've taken a test 2 days before AF was supposed to come and not a BFN....I waited and waited and finally after 4 days of no AF I took another and got a BFP.

You may need to retest again, I have always been one of those who don't get a BFP til after AF is due. Do you have any more of the cheapies? I have found them to be pretty good (at least the OPK's have been better than the more expensive ones from target). Your estimates could also be off- either way Good luck!!!

I think it's possible you are BFP, I say go test again tomorrow morning, but if you don't want to test you should have your answer in a a few days. Besides you can have spotting and be pregnant, happens all the time.
Good luck!

Interesting Laurie....I definitely vote for you to test again!!! I just pulled out the fine print on my FRERs (and noticed hey, it has a coupon for $1 off on the back!!)...so it's supposed to be 99% accurate as of first day after missed period, but they leave themselves an out that "some women may not have detectable levels of the pregnancy hormone in their urine on the first day of their missed period"
Late AF (esp. if you don't have irregular cycles) is still considered one of the most significant signs of pregnancy....soooo....if she doesn't show today (if you can hold out that long) definitely buy a test tomorrow!
Edited to add that i just realized re-reading your post that you tested 1 day before AF....FRER only gives that a 93% accuracy 1 day prior, so there's at least 7% of women who will get false negative testing then....

Hold out? Me? Apparently not. I just sent dh out for a test and I have to pee so badly it hurts! LOL. I am concerned that if it is positive, it is a late positive due to another ectopic. That's what happened the last time. I am hoping that the spotting I had on CD27 was implantation spotting and that I just O'd later than I thought. That would be the ideal situation. Thanks for all of your thoughts and advice. I needed someone to justify POAS.

I'm sorry about the BFN. The same thing happened to me last month. I was 4 days late and had spotting. Good luck next cycle.

The witch showed this morning. The truly upsetting thing is that I think my cycle is going to be irregular after my ectopic. I dismissed it the first month (29 days), but the second month was even worse (31 days).
