Doc put a stop on my TTC...

Hi Ladies-

I joined you last week very excited about my TTC. I lost Alyssa a little over 3 months ago and at my 6 week post appt the doc said that after 3 months I could try again...hense my joining last week. Yesterday I went to my pre-conception counseling appointment with the high risk ob and she said she wants me to now wait 18 months!!!!! I told her that there is no way I could wait that long... I want a baby to bring home in my arms soooooo bad. She said that I have to wait atleast another 6 months...which as much as I don't want to....is do able. I know I can't be selfish and need to make sure my future baby will have a good place to grow for those entire 9 months! The reason for my waiting is they think I have a type of blood clotting disorder that they want to tackle first to ensure my future pregnancies will not end in the same way my first did (even though I lost Alyssa due to knot in cord...there was some clots in the placenta which makes my OB worried for future pregnancies).

Anyway, Just wanted to say thanks for the week on this forum and I will be back in about 6 months!!!!

Hope you all get that BFP by the time I get back!!!!

Oh no!! That must be very hard news to get

I am so sorry to hear that. You are welcome to hang around here (if you feel comfortable with that). I understand if you feel like it is too hard to stick around here for now, but don't feel like you have to leave. Please keep us updated and let us know how you are doing!!

awww Jen, I'm so sorry to hear that you have to wait. But if it could help with a future healthy pregnancy, then it's for the best.

I really hope everything works out. Stop in from time to time (if you feel comfortable coming here still) or I'll see you around in the stillbirth forum? I'll keep you in my thoughts

waiting is hard. but it's time you can use to get your body ready to do this miraculous journey!! keep busy and the time will fly. the weather is gettting nicer too, which will help. take care, and no offense, but when you return in 6 months, i pray i'm not still here ttc. G/L

What clotting disorder do they think you have? I have a clotting disorder and didn't have to wait. I also had a loss at 20 weeks.

I'm sorry that you aren't able to TTC right away but I hope that you get the clotting problems resolved quickly. Please feel free to continue posting if you feel comfortable! Otherwise we'll see you back in a few months. ((((HUGS))))

I'm so sorry they want you to wait. But like you said whatever is best for future baby!! Please stop by or even stay if you feel comfortable. Good luck on whatever your decision will be.

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry you got this news!!!! Waiting 1 cycle is enough to make a woman go mad, they want you to wait 6 MONTHS!!!

I hope you stick around, girl!!!!

I really hope that you decide to stay while you wait to "officially TTC". I spent the three cycles of "wait time" here and the support was awesome! We'd love to have you around (if you feel comfortable, of course). I'm sorry you didn't receive the best news, but, if it helps get that sweet little one safely in your arms, in the end it will be worth it!!! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers! OH I am sorry for the news, {Hugs} I know it must be hard looking at waiting that long. But as the others have said if they can correct this... to help ensure further pregnancies, it is better to get it done. Hope you stay... KUP {HUGS}

Hi Jen, I am Sara, I hope to see you around and I can only imagine how hard it would be to have to wait 18 months, I am glad you agreed on 6 months. If you really don't want to wait, maybe get a 2nd opinion? I am sorry about your Alyssa as well. I hope the 6 months go fast and you get to TTC again.

I can only imagine that it must have been difficult to hear that you would have to wait to TTC even though you're ready. You seem to have a very positive attitude about it, though. I'm glad you've decided to stick around. I hope they get the clotting disorder resolved quickly and your time flies by!
