Hi I'm new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Patricia I'm 36 and have been married for 10 years. I have 3 wonderful kids, Celina (9), Tyler (5) and Isabelle 18 months. I was pregnant with #4 and due in September and unfortunately we lost the baby. I was almost 12 weeks and went for my NT scan, all excited to see the baby. Found out that the baby did not have a hb and had stopped growing at 8 weeks 4 days. My world came crashing in! I had no indication that anything was wrong, no cramping or bleeding at all. So I was sent to see an OB and was given meds to induce a miscarriage, which was last Monday. I've been having some pain, so they scheduled me for an u/s, which I actually just came from, and we found that there was a clot still left over. Lucky me! It's like my nightmare isn't ending. Anyway, the only good thing is that the clot isn't attached and my levels have gone down to 12. Yay!! So I have to take the meds again, to see if the clot comes out on it's own and hopefully this will be it. Now I'm waiting for this to be over with, so that we can start trying again ASAP!!! I'm doing much better now emotionally and the knowledge that we will be trying again definately helps. Sorry this is so long.

Oh goodness! Im so sorry for all the waiting and wanting everything to be over. Im in this boat with you and Im sorry for your loss! When do you go back to the Dr? Will they do another ultrasound? I so hope that the new round of meds work and that last stubborn clot will come out. And let me just add that your kiddos are precious!

Thanks!!!
I have to go back in 2 weeks just for blood work. Unless something goes wrong, then I have to go to the ER, but the doc didn't want to do another u/s. She wasn't so concerned because the clot wasn't attached, so unless I start bleeding heavily or get an infection...basically just wait it out. I guess my body just doesn't want to let go.

Welcome to the board. I had a situation similar to yours only i was farther along (17 weeks) and found out there was no heartbeat- no warning, no problems to make me think anything was wrong. It was heartbreaking, fortunately I didn't have to go through the aftermath that you have- I can only inmagine how difficult that must be. Good luck on TTC- we are all here for you!!!
