Have any of you ever gotten pregnant without charting or using OPKs and not really did that much BDing? DH and I only BDed like 4 times this cycle... I am hoping that they were placed well enough to get an "oopsie" baby this month!

Our first pregnancy was without charting or using OPKs. In fact I didn't (and still don't) know my cycle enough to know exactly what days are the best. We BD when we feel like it. I feel like it takes the pressure off and lets us enjoy ourselves even more. Here hoping an "oopsie" comes your way!

I did! First pregnancy we didn't chart (heck i didn't even know what charting was ) and *barely* tried...only BD'd three times over a 10 day period...OB's dating would later indicate that we conceived the very first time we BD'd
Of course that luck vanished post m/c and now i'm on 3rd cycle TTC...but it's definitely possible to get pregnant even with very little trying! Hope this is your lucky cycle!!!

It is absolutely possible to conceive without opks, charting, etc... My DH and I were very lucky. Our first three boys were the result of trying 4 cycles (we were sick one month). And my 4th PG was a big ol' oopsie. I had never charted or used an opk before joining JM....hmmmmmmmmm. But, for me it was actually great to learn more about my cycle before we TTC again after the m/c. And, it gave me something to dwell on while waiting to O and then the 2ww! If you don't feel you need to do all of that stuff...it's not necessary. If, after trying a while, you start thinking it's something you want to do, then try it. G/L! I hope your little planned oopsie is on its way!!! KUP

haha yep
i have 5 children already. NONE were planned so no charting. when i did actually chart and ttc nothing happened. with 3 of them i only bd once or twice THE WHOLE MONTH and it still happened
this time was a lot harder. i charted, used opks, prayed, bd every other day blah blah blah. finally we got pregnant and lost it, then another twice. i gave up and just bd whenever i felt like it (a lot in this case ) and now im 22 weeks pregnant. sometimes just not thinking about it too much is the key but i do know how hard that is

With my first I didn't do anything, we had just gotten married and I figured let's just not prevent anything. We got pregnant on the first try, didn't really expect it at all. With my second, I really wanted a boy, so I kind of guessed when I was O'ing, based on the pains I always get. It took us 2 months and bingo. With my 3rd I used the same method - just BD a couple of times around my O pains and got pregnant again after 2 tries. With my 4th I used the OPK and got preggers right away, but lost that one. So it is def. possible not to do anything (well besides BD LOL) and get preggers. Good luck!!!

In December I was not trying because I was scheduled to have surgery in January for uterine cysts. So no charting, no opk’s but we did BD (figured if I did get pregnant and it stuck, then who needs surgery- doc’s office was even ok with it). And I did get a BFP that month.

My first two were planned 'accidents' we just decided to stop taking birthcontrol and let it happen. I didn't know anything about charting and my husband was working out of town so he was home on an irregular basis. With my first I got pregnant within 6 months of stopping the BC and I was nursing her when I got pregnant with my son (4 months after my first was born and 1 month after stopping BC that time)... So, there are lots of people who don't chart or plan- they just aren't on this board!!! LOL

OK, I am starting to lose hope... I tested today (Stupid idea) it was BFN, but since I didn't use OPKs I have no idea when I ovulated, so I don't know when I should test. AF should be due around the 18th though...
My last cycle that I got pregnant on, I got a + OPK on CD 18. which this month if I O'd on CD19 it would've been on sunday, the 8th. And we BDed on the 7th! Hopefully that is when it happened. But I am not sure since this is my first cycle after first AF since my D&E (If that makes sense) SO my cycle could be COMPLETELY different...
Sorry about the rambling, these things make more sense to me if I type them out and think about it!

I don't have that much experience with BFP's (having only been pregnant once) but what I can tell you is don't lose hope until AF arrives. Take a few days and just wait and see. I find testing too early just stresses me out which is not healthy for you or for the bean you are hopefully growing.

I got pregnant by "guestimating" my O date - no charting, no Pre-Seed, no OPKs, no fertility monitor, no BD'ing everyday. Unfortunately I had a m/c. So it is possible.
Sorry about the BFN. It's probably just too early.

Both of my losses were by also guessing... I took the the first day of period (I was like clockwork 28 days)... counted 14 days and BD as much 5 before and 5 days after (at least every other day for that 10 period)

First was a happy accident, we weren't trying, weren't preventing.
Second was almost the immaculate conception, I think we BD twice that month, but once I had the "correct " CM, not that I knew a lot about that, but I had been told my my Ob when your CM thins out, you are Oing. Unfortunatly, that pregnancy ended in m/c.
Third pregnancy, (I'm about 6 weeks) we just got lucky, we BD a lot, but I had NO IDEA when my cycle was, but when you are BDing every 3 days, you have got to hit an egg, right? Hoping this one sticks.
Good luck to you! Hope you get your BFP soon!

Yep! I charted and used OPK's the first month we TTC, the next month used preseed, the 3rd month I did nothing, didn't stress it, was sure I was out. We bd'd once around O time. That was the month I got my BFP! I really think stress makes it more difficult to get pregnant, when your relaxed its easier on your body.

I have never charted and to tell you the truth am lost with all the chart talk. My first, when I was 18 ...just happend.
We started TTC in June of 08. Had a chemical preg.
Then got pregnant again in August of 08.
As soon as we get past 2 cycles... we will try again with no charting!
